Metrolink Perris Valley Line Ribbon Cutting & First Passenger Train VC #2 Steam Engine

December 11, 2015 - Metrolink cut the ribbon and drove in the golden spikes to mark the opening of their new Perris Valley Line! It's first trains for revenue service will begin operating later this month. Orange Empire Railway Museum brought their Ventura County #2 Steam Locomotive to the depot as well to get a nose to nose shot! The Metrolink train operating in this video is the first train on this line with passengers. It ran a few miles down the line to March Air Force Base and back, loaded with hundreds of excited families and train fanatics! The BNSF AC4400CW was put in front of the cab car for safety purposes.
