Before a day trip I went back into the house to make sure mom had turned off the iron despite her assurances that she had. This was in the old days before they were designed with an auto shut off feature after 10 minutes. I got the keys from dad and went to check. The iron was indeed off but I smelled something burning but there was no smoke. It was the coffeemaker that had been left on. I switched it off, dumped the old coffee, rinsed the glass pot with hot water from the tap and put it upside down on the dish rack. Not wanting mom to get mad at herself as she sometimes had the tendency to, I told her she was right all along and away we went.
I mean she did say she didn't leave on the iron, she didn't say nothing about the coffeemaker, so technically she didn't lie and neither did you at the end with telling her she was rigbt
I still lived at home. Mom and Dad went on vacation. I stayed home. Headed off to work, but thought I should check the house. Found clothes iron on in the basement laundry room and it was HOT. The house probably would have burned down.
I worked as Turn-round cordinator for a major airline a few years back. There were quite a few moving parts, but basically my entire job was about safety; safety on the ramp, safety in offloading/onloading the aircraft, making sure captain had proper papers/info, etc. Among all these important jobs, one particularly important one was the end of night bag count. No aircraft is allowed to take off with more bags than have been checked in. So if my checkin system says that 200 bags were tagged, then my bag room papers should have 200 bags or less. If bag room scans 201 bags but my system says there are 200, then that plane is not allowed to go anywhere until I figure out what that extra bag is and where it came from. So I'm closing out my night and gate has wrapped up their checkin. I am running around the ramp making sure loading is done, captain has everything they need etc. Bag room had given me my bingo sheets (Stack of paper with every bag they scanned and what container they're loaded on) a bit ago, and I had checked my count while there were maybe still one or two passangers left to board. I had exactly 198 bags on board and 198 bags on my sheet, which was perfect. All bags are accounted for, and we close up, plane pushes, and I head to my office. On a whim, I decided to double check the system bag count while I waited for the plane to take off and immediately had a heart attack. Instead of 198, my system number suddenly said 197. And my plane just pushed. With 198 bags on board. I had to call the captain and tell him that he absolutely could not take off. I had to call back the gate staff. While the plane waited, we went through the usual culprits (scanned crew bag? nope. Unexpected rush bag? nope) without luck. We had to print out a list from the system and manually cross reference against bag room bingo sheets, where we finally found our problem 40 minutes later. TLDR, I was in charge of making sure a plane doesn't leave if there is a security issue. I double checked after the flight pushed from the gate to find that I had a major baggage security issue. Issue wound up being a passenger bag tag was deleted from the system in the last few minutes of the flight being open, which screwed up my bag count.
Always always perform lockout/tagout yourself. If there are multiple people on the job, each one should have their own lock on the disconnect. That's why you use a hasp, so you can have a pile of locks. Never take someone else's lock off, either.
My mom, my younger sister, and I were at a pet store that specialized in fish--fish tanks, cleaning supplies, saltwater fish and freshwater fish, fish tank stands, ect. My sister went missing in the store. Mom was freaking out as she, myself, and the only employee there searched the store. We couldn't find my sister and Mom thought my sister got out the back door and was kidnapped. Mom was ready to call the police to make a missing child report when I thought maybe my sister was hiding in one of the fish tank stands because a lot of them resembled cabinets to hold things, but they didn't have handles on the inside. Maybe my sister was stuck in one? I randomly chose one of the fish tank stands--the one closest to me--and opened the door. There was my sister, and I had never been so happy to find the twerp, even though we didn't get along at the time.
Volvo BM sold it's tractor building assets to Valmet in 1978 to focus on building construction equipment. Valmet became Valtra over time and is now owned by the American AGCO Corporation.
We were using golf carts to pulls cars off an auction block, I was hooking up a tow rope to a 69 camaro ss. I decided to double check to make sure I put in a correct spot. Next thing I know, I’m being crush under the camaro . The old man who was driving the golf cart reversed ran over my leg and crushed me under the car. If I didn’t lay down to double check my neck/head would have been crushed. The speed in which he reversed over me, would definitely have killed me 100%. Now I triple check everything
Taking apart the timing on a 4-cylinder engine (dual overhead camshafts) with the cylinder head off. Was degreeing the camshafts so that the exhaust valve closes early. Cranked the cam gear so that I could see the camshafts operating and realized that the intake was opening before the exhaust (exhaust always opens before intake) so I took it apart again. Turns out that I put it 180 degrees from where it should've been. Whoops.
I threw a shirt in the dryer just to fluff out the wrinkles, turned it on and walked away. Then I noticed the dryer was thumping, yep, it was the cat, he'd been sleeping in there. He didn't talk to me for days.
Mum always checks the front door is locked (grew up in a less than savoury place) that habit paid off when the neighbour’s daughter’s druggie friend/ex/dealer/whatever tried breaking their door down and likely would have tried the same with ours if it had been open
i can also affirm to the story of the roach in the glass essentially the story is the city came through our neighborhood and knocked down 2 abandoned cockroach and rat infested houses which led to the entire neighborhood getting infested with cockroaches and rats and it’s still a battle some of us are fighting even almost 2 years later and the worst part is everyone here either does not have enough money to fight a lengthy court battle with the city over damages caused by there actions or we simply can’t find the specific individual responsible to sue them and yes i can prove it was the city’s actions that caused all of this cause when we first moved into the house we still live in there was no rats and no roaches and we lived here for a year and a half before the city did what they did and the suckers have been appearing every day since even though we have thined there numbers by alot we have wasted countless amount of money on bug spray and poisons and have thrown out many dishes and furniture and other things all badly infested with the little frickers and my first console ps4 got badly infested by them and it ended up short circuiting while i was using it and got fried and luckily didn’t explode or catch fire and almost all of our christmas decorations including personal ones with baby pictures and things like that have been ruined and now i only drink from either my cup with a sealed lid or water bottles with a sealed lid and any food not in the fridge or freezer are stored in sealed containers
11:47 i live in California so black widows are pretty common, im so used to seeing them i didn't even know they are the one of the most deadly spiders...the wy this guy phrased his story made me look it up

One time I had some free time in class and was gonna watch a video similar to this one but something told me to check for the volume and it was fully up had I not checked 23 people would've been startled by a robot narrator voice outta nowhere
can relate to the college story except it was high school and the admin at my school sucked. I'm not great at math so the previous conselor made me take a second math course I guess assuming I'd fail smh, for another one to try and tell me I was a credut short to graduate like 2 weeks before graduation. I pointed out this other math course and she's like oh nvm you're fine... um what you almost made me not graduate for not checking twice
Who is the daycare in my area that accidentally locked the girl behind I guess Mom was late she came by and asked where my kid is and the staff went home early or something stupid Ksalt?
whato-o after school care till 7pm... its batshit crazy!!! most parents dont work 12h a day (unless they cops or doctors).... its horrible that they put kids in ASC till almost night.. its horrible parenting, throwing their kids into school and spend little time with them.. especilly in young ages XD after school programms originated to help out single parents and very low income families... but now rich parents overtook the programm to fill their need for a free\cheap babysiter so they wont have to deal with kids for most hours. poor kids... elementary school kids should not spend their time from 7am to 7pm at school... no wonder some grow up badly since parents dont care for them enough: their mental state gets ruined :< schools should not allow rich\good income families to use after shcool programms, cuz its not for them
My gas was leaking and I was about to plug in an extension. I honestly don’t know what happened but I felt the sudden need to go in the kitchen and that’s when I smelt it. Thank Jesus❤️✨🥹

Your mom isn’t/wasn’t losing her memory by chance, was she?
@civilwildman No, she’s just absent minded. According to grandma, mom often forget her lunch and/or books at home when she was little.

I think someone's started buying comments since people stopped watching the re-uploads.
