I’m surprised that the NFL hasn’t tried to move into Canada, Mexico, and/or Puerto Rico as they’re geographically closer and would seem the easier investment at least if the NFL is trying to go international imo

Tottenham Hotspur FC's home stadium was built with soccer and the NFL in mind. There are two separate playing surfaces, one for soccer and the other for American Football. The stadium also has home and away locker rooms for soccer and two other home and away locker rooms for the NFL teams
Thank you! NFL fans always conveniently forget to say that! They also forget to mention how the teams don't pay taxes, how the owners build stadiums and practice headquarters with handouts from the governments.. Also they forget to say that European soccer teams have to pay half of their income in taxes alone as well as build their own stadiums.

Playing internationally across continents has been tried before Super Rugby in the southern hemisphere expanded to teams in South America, Africa , Oceania and Asia . It never really worked , timezone issues , road trips , lack of traditional rivalry games all sorts What you’re missing about putting a team in London is they would have to be competitive straight away and win otherwise interest would fade away once the initial buzz and interest has levelled off . Going 1-16 for a few seasons and watch that attendance drop off The other major issue is that most NFL fans in the UK have ‘their’ teams already and so they aren’t just going to pivot to the London Team just like that ain’t gonna happen Now to help with that you are going to need local boys playing in that team and that is a problem. Now there could be a few Rugby guys who might be able to transition but not many So I agree about the NFL continuing these game 17 internationally like soccer does but you call it an advantage that the NFL plays real games rather than soccer that goes on preseason tours . Actually it’s the other way round Liverpool can play a preseason game in Melbourne Australia and 95000 show up An NFL preseason game won’t draw close to that as its not a great spectacle and is disruptive so the NFL has to use regular season games to do the same That’s a weakness not a strength A home game is the most precious thing a team has in any sport and it should be sacred and never given up for anything
Most, if not all NFL fans living in the UK have been fans of their favourite teams since the 1980s, I don't think they'll give the sustained support to a new team or one that is placed there that they have given to the team they've been a fan of for a fair number of years. Many fans travel to the US to support the team they follow and have built up a raport with. They probably would only have at most a passing interest in a team implanted in the UK.
Have the every team play 1 game over in London every year.... 16 Games per Year in London... They can see if there's enough revenue to support atleast 1 Team in London... it fixes the odd number home/away game in the states...
A team here wouldn’t work because there’s no real desire for it. Sure there’s excitement because it’s a one off or 2 games a year, but there wouldn’t be a loyal following every other week generating 60-80k fans. And there’d be zero local talent breaking through. I don't see how it can work. The travel is a nightmare. Taxes would be through the roof. No players would want to sign there. I would much rather give other US markets expansion teams. A few games in Europe a year is more than enough.
