I made a teacher cry twice, once because I was a shit head, the other because I made her something in shop class a few years later and apologized for being a shit head.
They should have a minimum salary of $50,000 a year to start and have the potential to make six figures. We are the richest country in the world and we don’t support the people who shape and form our future generations
That actually sounds like a good thing to do practically speaking. Usually it's just talk but good teachers actually need this recognition. And wouldn't hurt for the schools to know during the hiring process who's amazing.
Me to my wife was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease & Dementia about 6 mths ago & she’s get worse day by day at 1st she was given about 2-3 yrs but I think it will happen within the next 12-18 mths.
That boyfriend at the end was so sweet. The way he proudly presented his carefully curated assortment of gifts. You could tell he knew she'd love them and that he really cares about what she cares about. Love to see it 🥰
I've never seen a family so excited over a birth before. I gave birth with just my husband there. My own family didn't show up because it was very early in the morning and they had to work. I am so happy to see this families reaction. Super sweet.
The only person there when I had my son was my mom. None of my other family cared. They showed up days later because I had a 2 week hospital stay because my son was born at only 4 lbs and was jaundice. Not quite sick enough to be in the NICU, but sick enough that the hospital wanted to keep him and me to monitor him. I barely had anyone visit. My “ baby daddy “ tried to bring his new girlfriend who had harassed me relentlessly and tried to fight me when I was pregnant. I said fuck no. He still hasn’t established paternity. My son is 6 now and flourishing. Im sorry your family wasn’t there. I’ve felt that way many times. My mom was the only one really there for me.
What if there was alternative news on tv that just ran stories like this. Imagine how much better people would treat each other if they saw more hopeful stories than such detailed coverage off all the atrocities being committed.

As a critical care respiratory therapist, I remember 1 nightshift, there was a 7-8 y/o boy there waiting for a heart transplant. One night, while the father had his head lying on his boy’s bed, there was a phone call for him. As we watched him in curiosity, it turned out he was just told there was a heart for his son. Most wonderful sight to see as it happened. I’ve seen a lot, but that brought a stream of tears running down my cheeks.

My 2nd grade teacher used to come visit me in the hospital when I got hit by a car. I was 7 years old and she brought me get well cards from the class, and read to me. She was my favorite teacher for many years for that.
You know, I need to start my day off differently. Instead of getting on social media just to see horrible news and argue with people, I am going to start watching videos like this, so I can focus on what is actually good in this world.

this is what I thought. But then, is it not a gift to know that someones death was not in vain and that the person will still live on? to me, this is a comforting thought
With how many kids, and teachers, were giving the art teacher hand-made drawings/paintings, etc, you know he probably made class fun and chill as hell. We need more teachers like that -- better yet, we need to pay teachers like that More.

That is a WOMAN in the little car, and the first person running along with the car is her co-worker, who knew she had been under the weather. Happily, the lady ended up being just fine! (I am SO impressed with the people in this video!)
When I was was 8yrs old I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I was in the hospital for a good while after surgery. My step-dad quit his job because his boss at the mechanic shop was completely rude about my condition. Halfway to st. Louis I convulsed in the backseat and it freaked my parents out even more. They did emergency procedure in halfway to relieve pressure off my brain and accidentally snipped blood vessel. I climbed the stairs to heaven, saw my real Dad and ran to wrap my arms around him. Woke in my recovery room to angels surrounding me. I told my mom not to worry that They told me everything was going to be okay. Her being confused since it was just us, I said the Angels mom. She bawled even harder. The whole I was in the hospital my school did fundraisers to help them pay their bills and to make sure my brother and sisters at home still had food. And my music teacher even drove all the way up there to visit me. I had two surgeries after to remove scared tissue. Then three surgeries for a vp shunt
Some great scenes, but a significant number have their own audio which would make the event that much more understandable and impactful, why there needs to be continuous soppy music I do not comprehend, these acts of kindness do not need embelishing!!!
