I don't think your throttle technique is slowing you down, it helps to keep the momentum up, it's just your driving style. and if you think of it Senna also stepped on and off the throttle at the exit of a corner. Great work man! :)

I'm trying to do the same but I end up turning regulary into hairpins even when I trail brake, can't wrap my head around how you slide your car in turns with almost zero steering. Sometimes I can pull this out but then car is slowing too much on the exits
How do you get that mang camera angle for the replay? Mine now only at 4:49 using the ae86 tsuchiya car 😅 (the car that have the 3.5 gear ⚙️ at gear 5) . Still a long way to go. I will use this vid for reference 😊

@@gucciwara6926 Is the handbreak essential you think? Would you be able to do the downhill without using the handbreak? Rotate the car with break and turning only, you would need to setup the car tho..
@@Emil-sh6sq I'm running Akina downhill without handbreak in order to train in controlling the weight balance of the car. It's doable for sure, but very difficult to go under 4:45 for me at least..

tbh man all I do is turn in, e brake, and don't counter steer. I just steer with the gas in the turns. That's how I don't counter steer really.

I usually just use e-brake, And a dash with some braking , and kind of flicking the car in at the same time using weight transfer.
