Hi bro, sick run! I thought that i was getting good in my firts month playing simracing but daam that's crazy precision what u have man! Also what's the song's name pls?
The run can def. be improved! long term goal is to achieve a 4.50 someday with the GT86 since i feel 4.51 is right around the corner with some minor corrections. Song: Cherry - Lonely Night
yea gotta use e-brake on the new PK akina for sure for the 86t assuming you have the shortest gearing I'd assume 2nd is fine for majority of the map as the pwr/torque is alot better in the 86t than the GT86 (which is why I use 1st alot in this car) you can check out thicc dads run in the 86t for some reference specific to your car too th-cam.com/video/znVGfIVLkJ4/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=thiccdaddycool
@@PM_DraKKar Thank you for answering, I actually have watched daddy’s run as well. Been binging pk akina runs from experienced drivers like you to find out how my driving style should be on the new Akina
@@calati0n e-brake is used to correct an understeering situation, most commonly in this run its used to correct mid-corner understeer. By doing this technique you can point the nose of the car to the exit faster, of course its a fine line as you can easily over do it with too much e-brake and induce an oversteer situation which is just as bad as understeering in most cases in time attacking.
Yo DraKKar nice run chief, wanted to ask you what FOV and NeckFX settings are you using? mine began to feel uncomfortable recently and yours looks way better, thanks in advance
i think for this vid i forgot to turn it on, but when I do have it on just for videos I use default settings FOV: is also default value as i play in VR
iirc max negative camber front/rear, 26 psi front, 28psi rear, stock toe all around, 1 liter fuel ill double check psi on setup when i get back home Edit: Yes this is correct PSI
@@PM_DraKKar impressive, fastest time i have is 5:13 how are you able to control it so well on second gear? I find myself understeering a lot on second gear
@@someguy9496 I also find the GT86 kinda understeery, aside from trail braking i also do tap the e-brake to help coax the rear end around a corner as well add some "toe-out" to the rear to help encourage it to step out so it will rotate.
ive been studying this video like a hawk i just gotta know man how to transfer your weight so well into the corners in second gear its a little hard to tell in the video but are you shifting back into first right after releasing the brake?
In this vid am using the handbrake quite a bit to get more rotation, I have it binded to a button so I just tap it like 2-3 times to get the car rotated just right. Once am rotated enough depending on how I feel about the exit I may just goto 1st gear, you can see that pretty often in the first few minutes of the run. I don't main the GT86 or drive it often enough so my handbrake usage is a result of lack of experience in the car. I think if I spent more time in it I could maybe start rotating the car more with trail braking and retuning the car versus handbrake spamming.
im gonna keep going without the handbrake as i never use them lol, i got the first few corners down pretty well just struggle in those hairpins a bit@@PM_DraKKar

recently iv been really getting into touge on assetto corsa, I have two questions. Is there any way that u practice in particular? And are there servers dedicated to races like in initial d? i found the tl servers were just people crashing on turn 1 and 2 lol
practice its either grinding out the touge your on and seat time in general. It took me 2 years before i was ever competitive time wise. TL has other servers too free roam to be specific where you can mix/match a variety of cars todo touge battles
In a general scenario it does not, but in this instance optimizing the psi for a specific part of the map outweighs the negatives when its over pressured by the end of a run. Being too low on PSI as well can have worse effects than a tire being overinflated.
You know, it feels so great coming back to these videos after a few months of learning touge racing, and actually understanding what you're seeing!

Truly brilliant driving. Your pedalwork is really smooth and controlled. It would be awesome to have a footcam in your future videos!
hmm maybe for a future Time attack vid I can do that! tho the very next one unfortunately wont have it

you can just enable view player names in the AC settings on content manager. I think it might be under csp ill have to dig for it again

does this have ABS on?
sorry been working on my essays as of recently but yes! ABS on when it is available
Do you use handbrakes on the corners?
only on specific corners like tight hairpins its very situational depending on if you get desirable rotation before the apex of a corner
@@PM_DraKKar Yeah thought so, did the same but my fastest time with that car is 5:06 ;-;
How'd you get the car to slip on the hairpins? All I get is understeer.
quite a bit of handbrake usage, I think with more experience and a retune I could get the car rotated more with trailbraking
What are your ABS settings?
ON for literally any abs capable car

how are you flooring it around turns and no sliding?
car makes no torque so you can mash the throttle quite a bit
