    I must have watched 6 or 7 videos to learn how to lower my heart rate during an SVT episode, and this is the only one that helped. My heart rate went from 168 bpm to 90 bpm after the second time that I performed this maneuver. Thanks for sharing this.

    This is the best trick I've learned since having long COVID and will now be added to my daily self-care regimen. Thank you so much.

    SVT = Supra Ventricular Tachycardia- a fast heart rate originating from the atrium (above the ventricle).

    I've used the Valsalva maneuver for eustachian tube dysfunction. It's good to know it can also be used to slow down the heart rate.

      How did it work for you? I’m suffering right now with pressure or fluid in my Eustachian tubes and I can’t find relief.

      @bluegrasskid I also suffer from ETD , I use the VM several times a day now. It helps. I also resumed acupuncture, which seems to help. Plus messaging ears (just look up qigong for ear pain). I am going to see a doctor soon just to be sure there's nothing else going on. BTW, this was a complication from C19.

    Can air come out of your ear when the nose is pinched and you’re trying to breathe out.. is that considered “opening up” the ear or should it not come out of the ear?

    Thank You for helping, I have a heart arrhythmia and this has helped reduce my heart rate from 125 to 82. How often should I do this? I noticed when the weather changes my heart rate goes through the roof for about a month then it self-regulates.

    • @TheMovementParadigm
      @TheMovementParadigm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do as often as you’d like and you’re getting a positive response.

    great vid! been doing this for a while as Pranayama; but does this maneuver strengthen the heart? somehow i feel my heart 'stronger,' but not sure if there is data to support my theory.

    What do you think about this for ectopic heartbeats? My heart rate is fine although sometimes will elevate slightly within a normal range, but I have recurring issues of getting an extra heartbeat every 20 or 30 heartbeats. This can go on for many hours at a time, at least once per day. Impossible to fall asleep when this is going on because of how hard the thump is. No other medical issues according to both GP and Cardiologist.

      I’m so sorry - try watching some of my other vagus videos to give you some more insight before you go. It’s important to rule out medical issues , but likely there is a vagus nerve issue.

    If you have SVT, you should do the modified Valsalva maneuver. It seems to be more effective:
