Thank you for the interview. Lucas & Edie are the perfect match. Glad to hear that Chris & Miranda get along well during filming. Cannot wait to see them again in the upcoming episodes ❤
A nice interview with Chris and Miranda and it will be very excited in the other episodes of WCTH with Governor Lucas Bouchard and lawjer Edie Martell and many sparkels🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
I was extremely put off by the way they ended Elizabeth's and Lucas's carefully crafted relationship centered around wonderful themes of patience and encouragement (for Elizabeth) and love & belonging (for Lucas), but since they very suddenly axed that storyline, I have to say, this storyline is very intriguing! Like with Elizabeth and Lucas, I hope if Edie is Lucas's new love interest, there will be a slow burn with an epic culmination (think bridge scene end of S8, THAT WAS EPIC). Lucas & Edie might just be the new and exciting romantic couple on WCTH to watch! BTW - as a horse trainer and riding instructor, Chris really is a natural on a horse, he sits a horse well for so little past experience...and to rope that calf on first take - very impressive!
It relates to her story in that they have found a way to keep Chris as a lead and therefore employed on the show. Any other show would send the non love interest of the lead character off the show once a triangle is resolved or reduce the character in screen time. They have tried to keep him with almost the same about of screen time as he has had all 7 seasons and keep him still a prominent lead with his own storyline to please his fans. This is HUGE and being very gracious to the actors and very considerate of fan's feelings without sending him off completely to have his own version of a period series. (Hallmark has tried to give him his own Christmas movies as well as tried him out in his own mystery series to see if he can pull the numbers to justify being the lead of his own series.)
@@elizabethdouglas1902 Respectfully, this doesn't really answer my question. Fans were assured at the end of season 8 that the triangle HAD been resolved. Kevin was retained on the show, and Nathan remained relevant to Elizabeth's story. Now we are being told that the triangle was NOT resolved at the end of season 8, that all along they knew they would take another 2 seasons to resolve it, and that we should be grateful that the feelings of Chris' fans are being considered. I'm not really Chris' fan. I enjoyed the Lucas-Elizabeth romance way more than I am enjoying the Nathan-Elizabeth romance. I'm not really interested in the politics of the show because either we were lied to at the end of season 8 or we are being lied to now (or both). What I am trying to do now is to understand and follow the story and I'm finding it extraordinarily difficult. Did Elizabeth break up with Lucas because she realized they were destined to follow different paths....or did she break up with him because she realized that she had been in love with Nathan all along? I'm inclined to think the former, because this is what they took most of season 10 to try and show us. So now, I think, they are taking pains to show them fulfilling their parallel destinies. They have assured each other of their very special friendship, but to be honest, we don't see much evidence of this. It only makes sense to put them on parallel paths from a storytelling perspective if, at some point or another, their destinies intersect again in some way. WCTH is Elizabeth's story, and the only connection Lucas has to it at the moment is the projects that he as governor is working on for Hope Valley, and which she dutifully tells her students about in civics class. They can't continue to do this indefinitely, so there are only a couple of options: 1. the show is coming to an end; 2. when enough of Lucas' fans have been disenfranchised, they will write Lucas out of the show; 3. they will make Lucas relevant to Elizabeth's life again. I think the only viable option for the continuance of the show is (3) because it has become patently obvious that Lucas is way more popular than anybody realized. I realize it's early days for season 12, but we are 1/3 of the way through the season, and still no signs of much relevance to her life.
@@JeanetteJensen-td6jx Lucas does not need to be relevant to Elizabeth. There are many characters that have not had any interactions with Elizabeth this season. Each season is different and sometimes pairings change. Right now they are building a relationship with Edie, there's no point in wasting Lucas's screen time with his ex-fiance. And just because they haven't interacted yet doesn't mean they won't.
@@ellyc87 I disagree with you. In order to be part of the show, Lucas must be relevant to Elizabeth. WCTH is her story. At the moment, he is relevant because she can teach about his projects to her students, but his projects cannot be indefinitely about Hope Valley. If he has a girlfriend with a ranch in Hope Valley, he has an excuse to visit Hope Valley more often, so will interact with the rest of the townsfolk, but his visiting his friends Lee and Mike don't affect Elizabeth. C'mon, no interactions for 5 episodes....unless you count the weird farewell scene in episode 1 as an interaction? How come Elizabeth didn't do anything about the rift between Lucas and Lee? It's very uncharacteristic of her to not try and reconcile friends. Another thing, Elizabeth is in the library quite often, why wouldn't Lucas have gone there to work when his saloon office was unavailable? Too painful for him, but not uncomfortable for her? Like I said....he and she believe they are on parallel paths, following parallel destinies. From a storytelling point of view, it only makes sense to focus on both paths if at some point they will meet again in a meaningful way. This may be through Edie, though right now I don't see how.
@@JeanetteJensen-td6jx I guess I see it differently, because this has become a large ensemble since the show first started. While Elizabeth will always be the main lead, she isn't as heavily integrated into everyone's storylines. She's had no interaction with Henry this season (that I've noticed), very little with Mei, Molly, Florence, etc.
I am so excited for Edie and Lucas’s journey. ❤ She is a wonderful addition to the show. ❤
Thank you for the interview. Lucas & Edie are the perfect match. Glad to hear that Chris & Miranda get along well during filming. Cannot wait to see them again in the upcoming episodes ❤

Edie is very pretty! She and Chris will make a good looking couple if it goes in that direction.

Chris is so funny!
Oh my! What we learn in these interviews.😂 Loved the behind-the-scenes info!❤
I'm glad Edie is there for Lucas. He is a great guy and needs somebody to.😊

I hope Edie and Lucas end up friends and hopefully something more a new girlfriend for Lucas.
I am enjoying Lucas and Edie together, but I'm still struggling to see how their storyline is relevant to Elizabeth's story.

I hope that the 2 of them get as much time as the silly Nathan Elizabeth relationship does!!!!
seriously..come on stop whining, just enjoy the show without the whiny comments.
