this is a concerto written by kabalevsky and it became famous with david oistrach . here its played by oistrach, and conducted by kabalevsky himself, so wat is the point to look far a better version :-) this is wat the composer wanted ....this is a golden recording ! we must more go for the historical recordings , technicly a bit less, but artisticly much better
Modern recordings are not necessarily technically better nor artistically lesser; conversely recordings made by the composer doesn't necessarily equal the best recording, as Wagner, Puccini, Stravinsky and Copland all expressed preferences for their music to be conducted by people other than themselves. But I agree this is a remarkable recording.
Lost for words, just so fantastic, This piece played by Oistrakh cannot be compared to other players! This is so wonderful. Is he even human? So much tone and intonation. I'm lost for words
To be heared to be believed. Oistrach surpassing himself. Breathtaking virtuosity, glorious sound, mastership beyond imagination. The music is very charming with its "communistic optimism".
What a amazing violinist he was! I am so impressed every time!
This is, to this day, my favorite concerto. If I could perform any with an orchestra someday, I would choose this one for sure.

Also try the one by Lydia Mordkovitch, pupil of Oistrakh - excellent.

Stunning. Oistrakh's sound is breathtaking and the pyrotechnics are electrifying. Thank you for posting this!

I recommend Lydia Mordkovitch's recording as well, she studied with Oistrakh.

Mon premier prix de violon
I'm confused. At the top of the album cover it says STEREO. But this is mono, isn't it?
yes this is a mono recording from 1955.
@@adriendecroy7254 Thanks.
Please make a slower version 😊
You can make it slow
J'ignorais tout de ce concerto, apparemment "fameux". Il mérite le détour ! Belle oeuvre, avec un brin de Chostakovitch, mais pas d'inconvénient.
13:41 open string vibrato?!
Yes, sympathetic vibration with G on D string
Bow vibrato possibly
