Oh man! I was at this game! It was January of 1994 and I was in my senior year at UB. I was wearing all kinds of layers and two coats. I used a piece of Styrofoam to sit on because the aluminum Stadium seats we're way too cold and I probably would have literally stuck to them. I yelled so much at this game that between sucking in all that cold air and yelling, my voice wasn't right for 2 weeks afterwards!
my beer was freezing in the can faster than i could drink it! beer slushy! AWESOME GAME! best atmosphere i can recall, other than the "90 raider game (51-3) goal posts came down and i almost got trampled, so that beats it, but still an awesome time and great memory.

And like the great fans we are we all stood up and clapped to the hero he was..I can say I was at the last game of the great legend JOE MONTANA

My dad took me and my freind Dan Misner to this game. We had to go to the car at halftime and idk how the hell my dad did it but he convinced the stadium attendees to let us back in. My freins dan was crying bc of how cold he was(i was freezeing as well) we both had our father hunting gear on. It was so cold my dad bought is hotdogs and pepsis and when we got to our seats they were both frozen solid. We were both 10 at the time and it was heaven. RIP Greg Foels. Love you so much. Go Bills
Blame Howie Long for his “double agent” four time offsides antics that kept them from having a final possession to win the game. Then, Long is laughing and talking with the enemy while his teammates are crying their eyes out on the plane ride home. Nobody EVER talks about how Howie Long blew things the last six minutes of the game!! I lost total respect for him and to this day, can’t stand hearing him try to analyze games on Fox. I really believe,Thurman doesn't fumble there, the Bills continue to wear down the Dallas defense and score more points and win Super Bowl XXVIII. Not a Bills fan, but was cheering for them to win a SB, but everyone knew the Cowboys were clearly a better team.

Wrong. About five months from it. This is IN 1994, but from the 1993 season...as the NFL does it. Everything you referenced would happen June 17th, 1994 later on in the year.
In those days, the Bills wore one piece socks that were white on the bottom and red on top That gave the uniforms a more coordinated look. Socks had red tops to match with the helmets. Wish the red helmets would come back !
It would've been Thurman Thomas if Norwood made the FG. Thurman had 135 rushing yards and 60 yards receiving. But Ottis Anderson of the Giants got MVP with 102 rushing yards
Im from Boston was at this game with a friend a Buffalo fan from Rochester I've been to cold games at Pats game but after this game i said to myself never again will i go to a game this cold again but next week went to the AFC Championship game against KC not as cold thank god but back in Boston been to Pats games but never as cold as that Raiders game
Back in the day you always want to play in Buffalo in the snow on Madden or any football game for that matter and jett and Brown was apart of the snowbowl screwjob in new England and if I remember correctly this was Howie Long's final game before retiring and tough luck for Napoleon McCallum that little injury then a year later his career ending injury and one of the freakiest injuries in football history he was a great power back
We had a few chances to put Buffalo away in this game, but conservative play calling and Shell not having the balls to go for it late in the 4th did us in.
I'm a Bills fan and their 1993 team wasn't nearly as good as the 1990 team was. They were starting to age a little bit by the 93 season. And James Lofton retired after the 1992 season so their deep passing game wasn't quite as good
I confused this game with the 50 something blowout a couple years earlier. It was actually pretty close for awhile. The Raiders where never the same after Davis blackballed Marcus Allen. The old ‘pride and poise’ Raiders with their never surrender attitude probably win this game or it goes down to the absolute wire with one of the teams winning by field goal...
The next game featured Allen vs Thurman. Bills spanked Montana and the Chiefs, with Thomas running over thirty times for about 180 yards and three TDs.
Those Raiders really matched up well with those Bills - but beating them twice in 5 weeks at Rich Stadium in those days was just too much to ask of any team.
You must not have seen this game!!!! My RAIDERS in usual fashion were ROBBED the most B.S!!!!!! P.I.!!!! That was ridiculous for a veteran of Howie Long’s tenure to commit THAT MANY offsides penalties in such an important game. It cost the Raiders a chance to obtain a final possession. Long lapsed at critical times during the game. Double agent!! Sadly for the Raiders, the team just didn’t score enough points during the Art Shell era to win Super Bowls.
Ha. Bunch of fucking cry babies! So one play in the second quarter means you got robbed. Get the fuck out of here!!! It isn't that PI calls fault ya'll could only muster up 6 points in the second half? One bad call in the second quarter is not getting robbed! Shut the fuck up!!!!!
Yeah shit call and it turned the tide in that game, Raiders had all the momentum heading into the half with a chance of a two possession lead and then Brooks trips up on his on damn feet going for the ball and they call PI on Dorn. That fucking play still pisses me off, no it's not the same as the tuck rule, you can't say it directly cost us the game but it was just another example of the Raiders having to play against the refs as the twelvth man as usaull. Man that catch in run by Brown at the end if the third quarter though was amazing, brings back memories. Makes me sick to think about what happened to McCallum against the 49ers on Monday night in the next seasons opener, I thought we were going be heading back to playoffs again the next year, but McCallum had the horrible injury that ended his career and Hostetler would get a shoulder injury later that year that took all his arm strength away and the season went down the drain and we wouldnt be back to the playoffs until 2000, sadly I thought that 6 year stretch was the worst to come, little did I know at the time how bad things could get.
Yes, I am a Bills fan and that was the call that swung the game. It was bogus. Instead of punting the Bills get easy TD on a cold as day when they are hard to come by. Thanks ref and too bad for Art cause he die great
@@haolejohn Hey nice to hear a Bills fan admit how much that call hurt the Raiders. On the road with the crowd and weather against you a moe swinging call like that is backbreaking, I mean even if it didn't happen and we stayed up two possessions going into that half, the Bills may very well have still come back, they were great at coming from behind, just look at what they did to the Oilers, but that call sealed the game and swung the moe.
@@JeanPaulMueller May not have won any Super Bowls but they were still a great team....they couldn't help it if they had to face the NBA's version of the Golden State Warriors 4 straight times!
Had the Raiders defeated the Bills and then went to Arrowhead to play the Chiefs the outcome in the 1993 afc championship game would have ended with the Chiefs going on to the Super Bowl guaranteed
Yes, and you can blame the Ref for that, throwing a BS flag and putting the Bills at the goaline. 3 points would not have won but that TD made the difference in the game. Montana vs Aikman and the boys would have been a tough battle for Joe but probably the most watched SB in history.
I don't think so......I think the league was going to adopt it anyway to bring more drama (and I mean that in a good way) to the games and make them more competitive. Considering 1994 was the NFL's 75th anniversary, it was also the AFL's 35th anniversary - The AFL used the 2-point conversion during its whole existence in the 60's.
Whoopi was appearing in Star Trek TNG. and Robin Williams was alive and kicking! I wonder why John Ritter was excluded. R.I.P. Robin and John. Still miss you.
Except they weren't. They lost their last three Super Bowls by 13, 35, and 17 points. And that 13 point loss wasn't that close. Washington dominated them.
The Raiders totally outplayed the Bills they nearly dominated the Bills in the time of posession 32:57 to the Bills 27:03 but penalties killed the Raiders penalized 9 times for 77 yards costed the silver & black had the Raiders beaten the Bills they would had faced the winner of the Oilers/Chiefs in the AFC Championship in which the Chiefs led by my man Joe Montana comback over the Oilers in the Astrodome in Houston the Chiefs would have host the AFC Championship in at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and that would have been a great match up of these two longtime AFC West rivals going back to the AFL in the 60's. The Chiefs would have beaten the Raiders and they would had have hard one against the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVIII.
The Raiders dominated as far as time. But not scoring. It wasn't just penalties that kicked the Raiders ass. Jim Kelly and that hurry-up offense did a number on the Raiders' defensive line. Plus B. Smith and company held the Raiders to one first down in the whole second half. It was a good game. But Buffalo kicked the bad boys No. Cals. natural asses.
Sean DeBarge Man o man wished Raiders had one this game Montana looked as if he ran out of gas vs buffalo the following week I personally think the Raiders would have pulled it out against the Chiefs the following week if they weren't jobbed here and rolled to the Superbowl could you imagine what the buildup for the Superbowl bowl Raiders/Cowboys
It’s hard to argue with success, but what the heck. Why on *earth* was Buffalo still running a hurry up late in the game with a lead? Oakland had already connected on a deep one, so they could do so again and win with only one play. Therefore, had the Bills been unsuccessful on some of their late first downs, they might have granted the Raiders an extra possession that could have been their undoing.
Not a Bills fan, but I can't think of a greater 4 year run than they had in the early 90's. It's a shame they didn't win a super bowl. This coming from a Vikings fan..I know your pain.

Wrong. About five months from it. This is IN 1994, but from the 1993 season...as the NFL does it. Everything you referenced would happen June 17th, 1994 later on in the year.
he was a legend; for roughly 5 more months. Then he became the worlds most infamous person
He was a broadcaster on Monday Night Football for a little while in the 80's too. So was Joe Namath. It was Frank Gifford, Namath, and OJ
@@jeremythompson9122 1985 was the interregnum between Dandy Don's exit and Al's arrival.
Steve Tasker is by Far the Best Soecual Teams player to ever play the game.
No doubt. He's the only player I can remember who destroyed a kick returner during the Pro Bowl!
The bills had the most iconic 1990s uniforms! We’re those red stockings or socks?
they look like thick wool socks, dont they? i always wondered about that, too. for this game at least, the players probably wished they were wool!
In those days, the Bills wore one piece socks that were white on the bottom and red on top That gave the uniforms a more coordinated look. Socks had red tops to match with the helmets. Wish the red helmets would come back !
@ 1:09:50 says Hostetler was SuperBowl XXV MVP but it was actually Otis Anderson
It would've been Thurman Thomas if Norwood made the FG. Thurman had 135 rushing yards and 60 yards receiving. But Ottis Anderson of the Giants got MVP with 102 rushing yards
I remember this watching this game
I was at this game...remember it was COLD!!!!
Great game! I just got back from Desert Storm and I was happy to see my Raiders live' Semper Fi !!

that PI call changed the outcome of the game! terrible glad see nothing has changed with officiating
Back when it cold during football season
Back in the day you always want to play in Buffalo in the snow on Madden or any football game for that matter and jett and Brown was apart of the snowbowl screwjob in new England and if I remember correctly this was Howie Long's final game before retiring and tough luck for Napoleon McCallum that little injury then a year later his career ending injury and one of the freakiest injuries in football history he was a great power back
Yep! Nap had a compound fracture of the leg on MNF @ San Francisco. We got smoked too, very talented team but could never put it all together!
P.S. It was fuckin COLD IN BUFFALO

I remember going to a sunday brunch at El Torito in Dublin, CA when this game was on.
Bills won, hosted Kansas City and beat the snot out of Montana and KC
We had a few chances to put Buffalo away in this game, but conservative play calling and Shell not having the balls to go for it late in the 4th did us in.
Should have won it. I still remember having to go to work later that day and hearing it from Bills fans.
@@stephenloflin9984 I hated hearing fans that their team was so good. Because usually they were only a little better.
I'm a Bills fan and their 1993 team wasn't nearly as good as the 1990 team was. They were starting to age a little bit by the 93 season. And James Lofton retired after the 1992 season so their deep passing game wasn't quite as good
@@jeremythompson9122 I think they were a tougher running team though in 1993.
Shell was a terrible head coach....cause raiders had a lot of talent those 5 years he was there..he sucked....
That's playoff weather unlike baseball they don't postpone these games remember when it's too tough for them it just right for us
Then Cincinnati came to town.
Where's the exact time where this lady in a nice fox fur coat cheers for the Bills sack?

1:09:55 marv Albert called Hostetler Super Bowl XXV MVP..smh. No love for Otis Anderson the actual MVP.
Thats pretty fucked up huh...absolutely no luv for oj
Ditkaaaaaa😈💥
P.I.!!!! do you have de game 10/11/92 Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Raiders? please

That PI call on Dorn was bullshit. Won the game right there. Good job zebras.
That PI call was before halftime and the Raiders made 1 first down in the entire 2nd half. Don't think it was that call that lost it Lol
Crazy how spoiled we are now. I was like whats the score, the time the quarter lol. It's not on the top right of the screen lol.

That's NFL play-off weather right there played in cold weather that's the third element cause both teams will have to deal with the conditions
Howie Long was offside like 6 times in this game. Does he know how to just watch the ball and wait for it to be snapped?
John Elway constantly got Howie Long to jump offsides with hard counts.
What a way to end Howie's playing career.
This PI Call against the Raiders ruined them.. that was BS
Thank you we were robbed again!!!! Flatout!!! Outright Crap phantom call, but I'm not gonna get started!!...later!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🐘🐼🐬🐕🐳🐅🐻🐖🐄
The referees missed the false start on the Bills receiver Brooks at 2:56:00 instead they called offsides on the defense.
Upload Super Bowl 28?
I couldn't upload any of the Bills Super Bowl appearances even if I had them. Too many bad memories.

Sort of looks a little like Lance Ito.
Don't think so.
@@fzoulcmbyl2134 So and? You're assuming the Bills wouldn't have scored anyway! The Raiders scored 6 points in the second half! Stop crying!!!
You're assuming they would have! Stop crying about me crying!...really, it's not that big a deal.
Idk the chiefs were choke artists back then
Did this playoff game(given the missed PATs and all) eventually lead to the NFL deciding to bring in the 2-point try?
+SuperPat88 2 points is for sissys! Unless it is a safety.
90's TV commercials sucked and so did most of the products they were advertising! lol.. Especially the cars!
Thirty years ago yesterday and the Bills beat the Steelers this time around. 1:13 looks the same too.

I agree with everything but your potential AFC Title game prediction, Raiders go into Arrowhead and somehow win the game! LOL

The K-Gun the Bills hardly ever won t.o.p!
Costed????
It’s hard to argue with success, but what the heck. Why on *earth* was Buffalo still running a hurry up late in the game with a lead? Oakland had already connected on a deep one, so they could do so again and win with only one play. Therefore, had the Bills been unsuccessful on some of their late first downs, they might have granted the Raiders an extra possession that could have been their undoing.
What? Scoreless In the first? I hate that! Buffalo won because of a scoreless first quarter?
Man, I miss Paul McGuire.
Raiders had a very good team these years ... but we just did not match up well v these Bills.
