    1. Goodness is apparent to everyone. Everybody has a sense of divine beauty. The height of its expression is self-giving love.
    2. Sin distorts our perception of God, who is the exuberance of goodness and love and beauty.
    3. This sense cannot be completely extinguished because we are made in God's Image. Our very being reminds us of our purpose to which we were created.
    4. We are created to live according to what this sense of divine beauty calls us to. To be and do it.
    5. God in his healing Glory and Grace will heal us in our midst when we call to him. He will meet us and restore us bit by bit to undull our hearts. He will live in us to radiate his glory. And by this, we will become part of his divine glory.
    Christ made this possible.

    Very good video, I really respect this channel. Lemme share the Reformed perspective, not to argue, just to point out a difference.
    There's nothing here we'd disagree with, we'd just go further. Yes Scripture says we're "sick" but also that we're DEAD in sin (Ephesians 2:1) and that the image of dead bones coming to life in Ezekiel and Lazarus coming to life is typological of salvation, or being "born again"
    That's why we don't believe that one can choose to be saved with their free will. Dead people don't choose to come back to life. Jesus has to actually call them, "get up" like He did to Lazarus.
    However, I like that you mentioned the cosmic scope of salvation which many Evangelicals (not mainline protestants like me) forget about. They see salvation as escaping this world and going to heaven, rather than Christ redeeming the creation like St. Maximus the Confessor talks about

      Just curious, if that’s the case, then how do the unregenerate do good? How can you know you are regenerate if your experience can be entirely the same as one of the reprobate? This is genuine curiosity, I don’t know the reformed answer to this question. Thanks!

      The resurrection is not chosen because it’s “baked into the cake,” as it were, of human nature due to the hypostatic union. But there’s a reason many are resurrected unto life and some unto death, and that reason is the disposition of their free will, as St Maximus is very clear about.

    • @telosbound
      @telosbound 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      The implication that our understanding of free will is analogous to Lazarus raising himself from the grave is mistaken

      Will is a faculty of nature, and natures aren't the subject of "the fall", people are - ergo, the human power of willing is never dead (natures don't die), rather it just remains ineffectual as employed by the person for salvation unless empowered by Grace.

      @@redeemedzoomer6053 Jesus has to call the “dead” in sin back to life, however the action or relationship has to be synergistic, because man is made in the image & likeness of God, he has free will and God will not violate man’s free will. If the sick or take it further, dead in sin do not respond to the call, they remain sick or dead in their sin. Christ says “behold I stand at the door and KNOCK… it doesn’t say behold I stand at the door and will KICK it in and drag the person kicking and screaming to salvation.
      Just saying
      I was reformed, their theology never made sense to me .

    Amazing!!! Exactly!!! That’s what I wonder, how Allah knew he is loving prior creation, when there is nothing to love??? In this case the creation it is not a result of love but need! In opposite of Triune God, Allah needs the creation to prove himself he is loving.

    • @LKRaider
      @LKRaider 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don’t know if that’s what you intended, but you just argued how Allah is an incomplete deity, that needs creation for its own existence.
