I actually found the tenor OK, it's set back a bit from the gallery so not too bad! If anything, the 6 was more daunting, although it's the 3 here that has the reputation for being the nervy one (rope falls closest to the edge of the gallery).And no, there's paid ringing (although you're not paid!) a few times a year - listed on the OS calendar, which is fairly open.
You do see the occasional peal from here, for an occasion, usually locals or using past University ringers. But they are let out for very few (if any) visiting bands for outings, peals etc.

In my opinion scarier than Pershore Abbey because the drop is in front of you and not behind!

What a amazing and strange ringing chamber. What if your afraid of heights and that is your tower that your regularly ring at?!! :)

They are not bad at all
But I don't think peals are allowed .
