So far (only 2 games) I love my G6’s, went from 32 +1.5 G3 pads to 33 +1.5 and G6 blocker and trapper single T with skate lace pocket all in weave. I’m debating on getting rid of the slide plate, I’m over sliding post to post 🤣. Great review and nice drum set (I have a DW kit)
I am still hoping to find a gold sparkle / champagne DW kit for a move price but I can’t complain on the Spaun. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts if you take the slide plates off.
@@chrisxdudo I think I’m going to try a couple more games with them to see if I can get used to them, then I’ll make my decision or just take them off to see the difference. The nice thing about them is if you get a crappy push you’re going to slide that’s for sure. An old school champagne kit would be sick, mine is called black pearl or something like that. I bought set G6 set (someone else’s specs) brand new though. LOVE the blocker (G6.1) and LOVE the glove (G6) but HATED the pads. Way to stiff, fought me on post-save recovery movements…had to shelf ‘em and grab what I could locally. Bauer Vapor X5Pro…which is cool bc they weren’t on my radar at all! Super light and perfectly flexible, only mod was to add a Professor Strap bc the stock straps allowed such crazy pad drift my knee would miss the landing pad, the HUGE landing pad, PS fixed that perfectly! I’ll be ordering Hyp2rlite set.
I appreciate that you are willing to criticize the brand/model. I love Warriors too, but I couldn’t get into my G6s so they’re sitting and I’m loving the Bauer Vapor X5 Pro, so I’ll be ordering the Hyp2rlites…(thanks for that review too) I Ghost my Warriors logo too, but highlight the “By Pete Smith” out of respect.
I wouldn’t say criticize, I’m just honest. I’ve heard great things about G7 and have enjoyed Warrior sticks, so I’ll see where the wind takes me in 2024 for Warrior.
Fair enough; I appreciate your candor. I love the Warrior sticks too, they nailed the balance imo. And the outside the box thinking on the shaft for stick handling is fandamntastic.

I appreciate the honest review! How does the pad stiffness and thighrise curve compare to the G3? I can not find a set with these custom core specs to feel out. I am interested in the G6 but need the S curve to help get the most out of my butterfly closure.
Honestly man. Haven’t used the G3 pad in over 5 years and I’ve owned waaaaaay too much gear since then so can’t really tell you about feel. I’d suggest ordering a custom set with the softest internal and external options available.
Well, I did order the core that was available on the G5 custom… so in a way it’s kinda like a G5? Considering you can’t order custom G5 and I couldn’t get the specs I wanted on a stock set, I’d go G6.

Warrior has custom options for leg channel widths and lengths. However, you must have missed that the inside of the leg channel has an air pillow that contours to the shin, thus providing a connected feel.
32 in g6. Can I ask your ATK? And have you found you need smaller G6 than you would have had in previous models. Seems like that is the case with other companies where newest model plays taller than previous?
It would be great to know your ATK measurement, height and inseam for reference on fitment. I am just getting back into playing after 13 years off and man the equipment world has changed so much including fitment so it would be helpful in these reviews.
Warrior has not had Canadian made product since the Ritual G2. Starting with the G3 and every set since then has been designed in Canada and produced overseas.
@@chrisxdudohow does your knee fit at 32”? I’m 5’6” and wear a 32”. 31” the landing pad fits me a bit better but don’t want to wear intermediate (10” width) and don’t want to spend for a custom senior set.

It’s a super unique looking glove for sure! Even has a unique closure unlike any other glove on the market. Who knows, maybe they’re your size?!

ATK of 17.75”. No I did not need to size down, I just ordered too large of a thigh for my preference.

My knee fits perfectly in a 32” Warrior. The top of my knee pad perfectly aligns with the edge of the block.
