Season 1: Genghis Kahn First episode was good, but it still needed to figure out what it was doing. Season 2: Tsar era First half was incredible, but the finale was underwhelming. Season 3: The Soviet Union First episode was great, and the Patriotic War arc in the middle was the best part of the series, the finale was really sad, but the music video they released for the DVD was great. Season 4: Russian Federation Tbh, kinda an underwhelming reboot, left most people missing season 3 and had a bunch of weird and unnecessary crossover episodes. Season 5: Putin Still not as good as season 3, but they brought back the old intro and there have been some really good episodes like the Syrian one that just came out.

For the Russians... they lost a good chunk of their Nation as well as their "Super Power" status. NATO had promised Gorbachev that they would not expand "one inch eastward" and that was a lie. Now NATO occupies a good part of the former Warsaw Pact (East European) Countries as well as former Soviet Republics... all with weapons pointed at Russia. At this point there can not be a return of the USSR (not while NATO occupies and control those areas). However Putin is working at making Russia into a Super Power again.
