Many thanks for this, Professor Danner. Regarding the emitter bypass branch shown at 20:56, what if the branch consisted of only a capacitor that was connected between two emitter resistors, RE1 and RE2? Would that have the same effect?
Example 4: Re = 2.8 ohms, so beta * re = 280 ohms => Rin = 265 ohms => gain = -11.5?
