It's funny. Three squad members who barely ever talk to one another are actually a great team when they work together.

Grey technically is an amazing match with any kind of mages since she's able to change properties of magic to be weak against her partner's magic.

I love how out of the entire squad of the Black Bulls, Gauche seems like the most antisocial member but when he's in a life or death situation, he takes it upon himself to become the leader necessary to ensure both the safety and victory of the Black Bulls, regardless of if Yami's with them or not.
He's demonstrated these qualities in several Black Clover battles that he's been able to take part in so far:
1) When he joins the Yami vs Licht(Patri) fight where he used Mirror Reflection against Licht.
2) Later on in that same fight when Asta + Yami combo attacked Licht(Patri), inadvertently removing the seals on him, Gauche considers whether or not he has enough magic remaining to counter his full power magic release attack.
And 3) Here in this fight, when Sally overwhelms Henry, Gauche unconsciously takes over as captain in this fight, coming up with a battle plan for his team MIDFIGHT and completely trustes that his teammates will be able to deliver 100%.
My point is, among the Black Bulls Squad, Gauche's leadership skills & Battle IQ are heavily underrated.
It's just a shame that in order to balance this ability the author gave him a sister complex
Gauche would be such a cool character if not for the weird siscon thing. Cool design, great powers, interesting backstory, good in a fight...it's like the author realized there was only room for so many primary characters in the Black Bulls so he had to make sure Gauche had a trait that would leave him permanently sidelined and disliked lol

I mean if were talking about intelligence alone and not technical skill or anything like that it’s most likely Finral; the amount of Math and timing required to pull of those portal maneuvers in the fight against Vetto is absolutely insane.
All For One&One For All that couldve all been instinctual though...most of the time we actually see gauche planning his moves while we only saw finral going with the flow.

Nero was the one who left it there.
When they first found the stone, they didn't know anything about magic stones so they probably never made the mental connection. The only one who knew what it was was Nero/Secre, and while Asta did almost make the connection, something else came up that derailed his train of thought and he completely forgot about it. So them leaving it there wasn't any sort of negligence, they just honestly thought it was some good luck charm from the guy in Saussy village.
Actually...they did not know it was there to begin with. Nero had stashed it hidden from the others.
Why does Henry have more personality in the anime then in the manga. not that I'm againt it. I'm welcome to this change.
