- Welcome to the next project, the Align Trex 500 ESP! I am doing this build for my good friend Bobby Lightning. This video introduces the project and begins with the unboxing of the heli. Enjoy, thanks for watching, and as always, happy flying friends.
Hey Delbert! Thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I am hyped to start this build and keep my self busy while I wait for the weather to cooperate so I can get some flights in! Have a great day and happy flying.
Cool! I still have a TREX 500 I need to get in the air! Hopefully we both have good luck with our models! Thumbs UP for another great video!!
Hey bud! Thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I enjoy the build almost as much as I do flying. I am looking forward to this build and seeing Bob's face the first time he puts it in the air! Have a wonderful day and as always, happy flying friend.
Very cool, well have to try and get Bob out to the field with us some time once its all built and ready to rock!
Hey there! Thanks for posting. I am having a blast getting this build started and can't wait to see it in the air. Have a great day and happy flying!
Hi Ben, thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I am looking forward to this build and can't wait to see Bobby Lightning put it in the air. Have a great day and happy flying friend.
Yet another Awesome intro to your RC Heli Build Series! Three of my 450's are still flybarred so hopefully with this series of build video's for the Align 500 ESP, I can learn how you got your flybarred Helis, to include your BLADE 450 3D, to fly so Smoothly. Thanks George for Sharing your Expertise!
Hey bud! Thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I am looking forward to this build in a big way. I started with Fly Bar Helis and they will always have a place in my fleet. So far, my experience with Align products is good and I hope that this one follows suit. Have a great day and happy flying friend.
Very nice George. I'm looking forward to seeing you fly it.
Thumbs Up ~ Eric
Hey Terry! Thanks for posting bud! This actually belongs to a good friend who got it over a year ago and hadn't had time to do the build so I volunteered. ;) I love building helis!
Hey bud! Thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I am looking forward to starting this build. At least it will give me something to do while I wait for the weather! ;) Have a great day and happy flying.
Hey bud! Thanks for posting. He got this heli last year and he was worried about crashing and the repair cost. The ESP head is all plastic and much less expensive to repair. He has had a few crashes with his Trex 450 Sport and Blade 300X and wanted to stay safe. Plus he got a KILLER deal on the package.
Hey bud! Thanks for posting. I can't wait to see the look on Bob's face the first time he puts it in the air.
Hey Barney! Thanks for posting and the heads up. I noticed that the head was totally disassembled and figured I had my work cut out for me. I don't mind though. I enjoy the build almost as much as I enjoy flying! Have a great day and happy flying!
George I built the same helicopter 6 months ago. It's very reliable and the plastic parts hold up well. The only downside is that it takes longer to build than a flybarless...happy building
Thumbs up George! Can't wait to follow the build and see the maiden!!!
you are not alone... we have a big fun fly this weekend, and it looks like a might get one day of stick time in before.. boooo!
Hey bud! It is old school! ;) Bobby purchased this last year, and my guess is these are retro. I am looking forward to the build and seeing him fly it for the first time. Have a great day and happy flying friend.
Cool George.....i looking forward to see the ending results.
Hey Barney! Thanks for posting and the kind remarks. I love building so the extra work is no big deal. Heck, when the head comes assembled, I still take it apart and re-locktite everything! ;) I did learn something new though... Although the sticker says Trex 500 ESP, it is actually a Trex 500 E. Not sure how that happened, but Danny Lightning straightened me out. I don't think it will make any difference to Bobby and it surely makes no difference to me. ;)
Hey George, your right the main rotor will take a good part of the evening to build, but it doesn't take much time to program. Mine came with the red canopy also but I bought the white one ....looks much cooler. Tell your friend it's a sweet flying helicopter and even sweeter when you replace the stock motor for a Scorpion
Hey bud! Thanks for posting. Yeah, I am looking forward to this build. There is something to be said when building a heli that does not belong to you! hehehe. I can't wait to see the look on Bob's face when he flies it for the first time. If it flys anything like my Trex 500, he is going to love it. Have a great day and happy flying.
Hey Bud! Thanks! I am looking forward to starting another build as the weather just does NOT want me to fly! hehehe
Hi Ben! Thanks for posting. No, I have not purchased a MCPX BL yet. All I have is the MCPX V2. Since I have to purchase all my craft myself, I have to take it in moderation.. But who knows... There may be a MCPX BL in the future. Have a great day and happy flying.
Hey Buggy! Thanks for posting bud. This is going to give me something to do while I wait for the weather to cooperate so I can actually fly one of these things! ;) Have a great day and happy flying.
Oh yeah! And we have to get your 500 back in the air!!!
Ouch! Hope you get over it quickly bud. Get well so you can fly!
Hey Bud! Thanks! I had no clue and was about to start making up names.. heheh.
Liked nice video cant wait 2 see more
Hey Tab! Thanks for posting bud! Good luck with your 500! Just for the record, despite the sticker on the box saying ESP, this is actually a 500E. The good thing is that Bob knew it was an E when he purchased it and not the $200 more ESP. ;) Not to say the E is not going to be a great heli by any means, but it helps to know what you are working with.
I am not sure what the initials stand for, but it is a more durable heli I have been told. It has plastic parts on the head for more cost effective repairs, and is designed to be more rugged. Mainly he got it because of the great deal he got on the price!
happy build man liked
Nice!!
yeah they did a NSP, that was nitro super pro, then they did the esp.
oh,thanks m8!
You are the master of knowledge! hahah.. NSP? Not So Popular? heheh ESP? Expect Serious Problems? ;) Ha haha.. I crack me up!
I believe it is Electric Super Pro
well,thanks to you too! haha..
Why did your buddy want an ESP?
when i buy this heli does it go with a controller?
Hi there and thanks for posting. This heli does not come with a controller. You have to purchase it separately.
