I’m glad this helped you! Curly hair is a bit unpredictable. You can use this same method on curly hair, but it may appear uneven once the hair dries and the curls take their shape. It all depends on the curl pattern.

No, she wears a side part so I kept it to the side for the haircut.

Not sure why you emphasize the female gender so much in the video. All kids with long hair need haircuts.
I try to use verbiage that people will use when searching for a video. This is a girl in the video but you could certainly give the same haircut to a boy also.
Oh no, my daughter has a side part n I watched a lady who said to part in middle n then part hair each way n cut. So I did it thinking that sometimes I part her hair in middle for hair styles, but now when her hair is just naturally to the side, there's an inch difference. Guna have to check it in morning when it's dry. Wondering if I gotta cut layers into the sides so the difference isn't so blunt.
