I’m just imagining a billionaire having their own personal car vending machine where they decide which car they want for the day.

That's rather silly. That isn't going to happen. A billionaire has plenty of space for a horizontal garage. Their time is valuable. They don't want to wait for this machine. You are adding extra steps for no good reason. They could just walk to which car they want in their giant horizontal garage. Also, most billionaires aren't even going to want to retrieve nor drive the car themselves very often. Their driver is going to fetch the car from the garage and bring it out to their front door. The billionaire wouldn't even be using such a machine in this case, their driver would.
Billionaires don't need any machines to fetch anything for them, not cars, not wine, not candy bars. They have staff to do such things for them. Businesses love machines because they reduce labor costs, but a billionaire has the people around anyway, so might as well let them do things manually.
Imagine if a billionaire just had an enormous anal cavity that they could anally vore dozens of luxury vehicles into and shit them out as they please. Actually I believe Jerry Seinfeld is looking into a medical procedure to accomplish this he talks about it in his Netflix Series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" S2 E4

Speaking from an introverts pov, 1 of 3 things are a possibility at play as to why the lack of enthusiasm. 1, if she's an introvert, introverts aren't great at showing excitement. Or 2, she didn't want to get over excited because of all the negative feedback online regarding carvana or 3, I really don't know because I don't know the people in the video. I'm really glad this video was shared because here in a few months, I plan on getting one and this looks like a pretty awesome experience.

Customer service is what wins people over not price. As a professional buyer of vehicles and construction equipment I totally understand why someone would pay 30% for the easy vending machine experience.

I bought a 2016 Jeep Patriot from corvana and the ad said it was four wheel drive but it wasn't so now I'm taking my two wheel drive jeep to Kansas City to their car vending machine and I'm exchanging it for a four wheel drive so I get to see this happen I'm kind of excited and that happens today.

I’m not from the US but saw a Facebook video of someone saying a ‘car vending machine’ so had to check it out 😅 Looks cool, makes sense to have them in areas with limited space, perhaps a waste of money if land if cheap to just park them up

Did you guys check under the hood of the car before you drove it? Even Carvana has forgotten to refill the oil and other fluids. Heard about one where the transmission fluid was low and it ruined their car cause Carvana didn’t service it before selling. It is still a used car. Hope it’s still doing well for you 👍
We drove it and then I did my inspection. Everything was good. 👍🏻
They have a 100 day 400 mile warranty and offer a really good extended warranty.

To be fair guys from a business standpoint cutting jobs is almost entirely positive instead of several years of salaries just 1 bulk purchase and you're good to go think of it like employees= damage over time while machine=(mostly aside from minor maintenance which can be avoided by taking care of it) 1 big damage hit

Better than being outside, exposed to all the elements. Its like a cozy little hotel.
This is a better alternative to having massive lots with a massive footprint. Here in DFW we have hail storms too. I would imagine this protects them pretty well. Building vertically is not a new concept. We live and work in high rise buildings. This is the same concept. The only gimmick in this process is the coin you put in. The rest is actually a really efficient way to store cars in already crowded big cities without having to purchase massive plots of land and pave them.
The age of the dying (car)-salesman, next comes the realtor and in the long run maybe many others like lawyers and who knows whom else the upcoming technology wave will sweep away?
The new owner should've held up the supposedly clean cup with a straw in it.

After more than 20 years in car sales, I can tell you these are the rules at every traditional car dealership:
1. Make *ALL* the money
2. Try to at least make *SOME* money
3. Just sell the damn car and hope the next customer is profitable
Carvana and others like them don't negotiate. What that means to you is, places like Carvana won't exactly "clean your clock" but you defiantly could have done better at a traditional dealership if you are willing to negotiate. If you just don't want to negotiate or don't have the time, just understand that you will pay more than you had too.
First off it’s a hassle if you don’t know much about cars or also if you don’t know how to negotiate exactly. Also you’re not guaranteed the price you want and if you’re in the market for a used car, you can get exactly what you want with Carvana down to the color of the floor mats which would be really difficult to find locally. Last, but not least with Carvana they run a thorough inspection they will never run at a car dealership.

Carvana gave me 16,000 for my car, is selling me a jetta for 16,500 flat. Only taxes and title will really be the only thing added to the price. I talked to a dealer that offered me 11,000 best case scenario and with all the charges added to the car I was interested in they wanted about 20,000 in total. Tried to add over a grand to the total price called it “convenience aesthetic package” to a used vehicle. How can you add a package to a used vehicle that the customer didn’t ask for ?! Idiots.

I bought a 2017 Ford scape 3 months ago and the transmission is already damaged. I have to pay 4K of my own money because it turns out that the same day the vehicle was damaged was the same day the warranty expired
