If you told me I would be drinking tuba in the afternoon watching a Welsh and Frenchman doing extreme motorbike wakeboarding on the beach in Davao Oriental, Mindanao? I probably wouldn't have believed it. But after spending over a week so far working on our land...
I guess with Commander Daut around, I should expect it!
This was another beautiful day along the beach in Cateel. The tide went way out, and the guys took a motorbike and a wakeboard for quite the extreme ride!

I am impressed with Mama Rose's command in English . She speaks well. You got the perfect terminology - International Kids of Mama Rose. It's nice to see a mother figure into the mix. She allowed you to film her while preparing food for supper - an act of generosity indeed! Viewers can learn from her, her wisdom, technique and way of life in the province but more so her cooking prowess's. I think, you should film her often if she doesn't mind. Seeing everyone eating like family is a joy to watch - kudos to Mama Rose. There's a saying that said “it's the mother that glue the family together” and she exactly did just that! She sat at the end of the table, and the kids are sitting on opposite side facing each other - appropriate setting arrangement. Who would think that you can wake-board at the beach pulled by a motorbike? French idea - brilliant! Debut of a new “Sport”! Newly invented sport might be the next trend in town. This proves that when different culture congregate in one area, ideas will come out - an example Vince and Anselm demonstration. Anselm and Vince are very nice at each other considering French and British were at war at one time - “let bygones be bygones? The salty sea water will not ruin the motorbike? I sensed, you're starting to get the picture of what you wanted to become in your property - fence is a good start for security. How about planting Bougainvillea at the front of your property to get the island vibes? Bougainvillea is beautiful at the same time a good deterrent for intruders because of its thorn. Makes your front alive and attractive because of its all year round pretty blossoms. Grafting - impressed with Mike's talent - he can make money doing what he is doing. Kumar cracked me up again, every time you ask his input into something, he comes up with funny answers along with a wide smile. Anselm is such a character, very jolly. Your filming is getting better and better as day go by. 360 degree filming of the area is Ahmazing! Today is the longest daylight in America “Summer Solstice”. Following days will start to shorten daylight.

I envy you that you bought a property in a beautiful location. I live in the states and retired 3 years ago, and plan to spend more time in the Philippines. I also plan to purchase a small property to do some farming or something.
If you permit me, I would like to suggest a few things, like electric connection, drainage system, build a small/medium size Kubo house, plant some fruits and vegetables. If the water is not salty, build small fish pond of tilapia. I would do them if I purchase property like yours. Good luck!!

Mama Rose is so sweet. I agree cooking is a tiring job but if you love it, you get tired, you rest and back cooking in the kitchen again. Honestly, cooking Filipino food is like a stress reliever for me. Did you not even noticed, how satisfying watching Kulas video with mama rose cooking? Maski dili tah ka tilaw Sa ilang luto. You can use barb wire for the mean time,then plant bushes on borders around the land. You can trim it,and it could serve as fence also.
Kuya is man of all trade ( thinking what he can do to keep things easier there). Having a smiley nanay with her cuisine on the go makes every time filled with everybody unempty stomach. 👄👅👍basta nanay lami jud. When seeing ppl eat together in one big table makes her happy with love..,,a happy family😍

You can plant madre cacao around your square lot. If madre cacao is fully grown you can place barb wire. You don't need to worry about the cement post for temp purposes.... useful if u want to go for raising on goats.... just a suggestion...

I agree 100 percent about having a barrier between the road and property for security and privacy. Although it would cost more in the beginning but be more cost efficient for long term, I would build a block wall. To save a few bucks you could coat the inside with a finish cement and leave the outside unfinished.
A wood fence with no protection from the salt air will rot very quickly.

That's awesome.. using the skim board being pulled by a Motor bike down the beach. Really enjoyed that. It is flat here in San Juan La Union too. You always find something to Vlog on. And that was funny! Only thing exciting here was a really cool double rainbow i Vlogged here while Go Pro vlogging swimming at sunset! I really enjoy your drone shots.. and how you transition it all together. It is really like watching a very professional CNN travel show. From the music, to the drone shots to your going to camera.. it all really flows! I learn so much from watching your vlogs. Have your property “surveyed” ( meaning relocate), before putting the fence, up. This way you have a definite and absolute makers of the property. Just a thought...

Hello everyone from Las Vegas, NV, USA! Thanks for the nice video, Nice to see foreigner having fun in different country. This proves that you don't have to have all the luxuries to enjoy yourself in this world. I left northern PI when I was 15 and now I'm 57. I miss some of the freedom that associates with unpopulated part of a country. I have to tow my off road buggy and drive 20 miles just to ride it or drive 300 plus miles to see the ocean not to mention some of the fees. I envy the place where you guys are. I like to know how long it took Commander to speak the language fluently. He seems like a very nice guy. Regarding to your fence, I would plant coconut tree close together. It's free and effective or plant bushes with thorns also close together. Asked lovely Mama Rose how much she charge to take a vacation there ( incl. food and lodging). Maybe, if I have a chance, I'll take a vacation there. Thanks'Kyle.

The best for fence is "madre de cacao" because it will live longer and it will not be destroyed or die easily. But the "kalumpang" is also good for fence because it will live taller and it's also serve as shade from the heat of the sun. There's no need for guards just get a dog. It's effective because we used to have a land also. And it is cheaper also. I'm also a mandaya from Caraga, Davao oriental.
