just a footnote , quite a few of us are putting back ,cooking oils , soups , stews , chili , green beans , canned corn , carrots , extra seeds and some goat penicillin , tylenol , lot of batteries , solar panels , rech batt , etc . storing it for whats necessary , may come .
I was listening this morning to your video on the way to work and heard you say that. I guess I thought it was longer winters down there. I’m sure that cub will wrap it on up fine.
I put a big order in at Ag Supply they ask me why. I told them about your channel and you mentioned Ag Supply that's why I found them. I asked if you could get sponsored by Ag Supply they are got to be in touch with you. Thanks for all your help can't wait for mine new rolling cultivators and new cultivator feet.
Hey Ryan Thank you. I don’t claim to be a expert on those cultivators but I will be glad to help you if you need anything. You can email me at joey@jtwes.com
Looks like you are getting ready to git busy. I have been busy with other things but I think I will try to harrow my garden so I can get the disc ridges out of it and I will start planting some of the Hastings and some silver king. Also some Jimmy red. Been some strange weather up here. Thanks so much for sharing the video Joey.
@@Jtwes yeah it's cold here. I'm a little bit behind y'all by a couple weeks or at least a week. I probably won't plant any beans till May 5- 10th. Take care and I hope you have a great growing season.
I cultivated our corn and potatoes when I got home from work this afternoon. Too lazy to put the rolling cultivators on so I did it with the row making setup, had to run slow. Nut grass....aggravating. Thankfully we don't have it in our garden at home, had a small watermelon patch in another location where it was present though.
I'm almost done harvesting the potatoes. We've put up over 100 quarts and I've given several bushels away. Brother you're a lot more gentle with yours than I am lol. All I cultivate mine with is a set of hillers, you'd think I'm trying to kill em. Love the content, it's great; it feels like hanging out at the farm with old family friends. Take care of that old Farmall and keep the faith brother.
Hey Aubrey I really need to put more effort in my potatoes. There ok but if I tended to them a little better they would be great. Glade you had a good crop of them.
@@Jtwes man I did everything I could wrong this year; planted too late, watered too much, planted too deep and chilled too aggressively and made the best crop we've ever made. The Lord blessed us cause I earned a dead crop and got a bumper
Looks like you are getting a good start. Hope you got a good rain this afternoon/evening to help. Not even a shower for me here in SC, and less than 50% showing for the weekend.
Careful cultivating those taters. Before long you'll but cutting them up with that cultivator. I suggest real thick layer of straw. Keeps the weeds down and will also keep the sun off them. You're going to have a great crop of garlic. Snip off the scapes when they come up and you'll get really nice bulbs. Nice job for the first try.
Hey Chris . The potatoes were planted of center of the row . ( my fault) When they start getting bigger I usually only use disk on them. Thanks for the garlic ideal.
Hey Joey, you just never know what it's going to look like using a planter until it comes up, do you? We've got beans coming up here ( 1/2 runners and Tenderettes ) and will probably do our corn Saturday? ( Silver Queen, Serendipity and Indian ). Gonna try my 274 with the Hol-mac belly planter! Say a prayer.....lol! Great video as always!
Hey Joey. I always enjoy your videos. For me it seems like I am right there with you as you do your work and have teaching points. I learn something useful almost every video, but enjoy them all. Not sure how much U tube will allow me to post. Thanks for sharing. Stan here.
Joey what size are those shovels, I like the way it cleans up behind the tires. I’ve found some at carpenter farm supply, don’t think they are wide as yours. We missed the rain.
That corn was probably turned around like that cause the seed was upside down and it was growing toward the sky. When you dug it up it just was pulled out of the ground and you I guess didn't know the orientation of the seed in the ground.
@@Jtwes I looked at my first bit of corn I put in the ground, tonight. A have some big skips and blank spots. I didn't feel like digging or looking for any in the missed spots. I'm going to give it a week and look..not sure what's going on?
Some fine-looking Garlic
Thanks Randy

Nice camera work. Thanks for sharing.

Looking good Joe! That's what Daddy used to call "wrapping it up".
I planted the potatoes of center . That’s going to be fun .
@@Jtwes Now that you mention it...😂
If I get time I'll be laying my corn by this week.

I’ve done the same many times. Matter fact if you look close at the garlic row I ran through it with the disc on the way to making corn rows up.
I love running my 140 but it's very easy to get more garden than I can handle
Lee that’s the truth for sure. You can get to much with a good cub real easy also.

Hey you know who's pedaling in the field, but we can see who it is 😅
Everything is looking good. I hope that you have a good harvest
I hope to be cultivating some corn soon. I don’t know if I’ll use king scratchers first or not.
So Glad to see your channel growing. Must be doing something right. God be with you.

looks dry there
It is a little dusty on top. It still has some pretty good moisture down in the bed.
