Follow old Route 66 so you can stop at Goffs which has grades approaching from both directions. Then down to Arrowhead junction where 66 meets 95. Amboy is great too. So many great spots. I was thinking of going between Barstow and needles next weekend, but now I am rethinking that as it might be snowing elsewhere. I am happy and lucky to have options like that.
