Tommy used to work at Easy Street Records in West Seattle in the late 80's early 90's. I remember going there and seeing him, I was maybe 13. In the late 90's Alex used to own/run a rehearsal studio in West Seattle my friends band played at, and we used to brink beers with him and BS. Alex gave me 4 signed LPs by Him, Tommy and Blaine. I was young and stupid and lost them. But the fact it happened was one of the coolest things ever to me. I love The Accused and have been a fan since the first time I heard The Return Of Martha Splatter Head in 1988. Man those were the days!!!!

Hello Tommy. I am a fan in Japan. Tommy, please keep the band going. I have been waiting for the band to come to Japan for over 30 years. While Blaine and Alex were in another band (Toe Tag), you kept the band. The album (The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead) released in 2009 was a good album. I still listen to the album. Alex is a great bass player. I want Alex to play the bass on Accused. Tommy, you are the only Accused guitar player. Your guitar playing is great. Fast picking, crunchy guitar riffs, melodic solos, only you can do it. Only you can play a guitar riff like "Pounding Nails". I look forward to welcoming you back to the music scene with your new band.
This is a nice little gem. I really appreciate what you were trying to do here, David. As a life long fan, I find it disappointing that the band has split into camps. Sometimes in life, peace is better than being right.

So I understand what Tommy is talking about not wanting them to use the two words they accused however I grew up with this band. I was 17 years old in 1986 when I started buying their albums and going to their concerts and this is the consensus with me and my friends… Blaine is the accused and I don’t mean that with any disrespect to the other band members Tommy is amazing Alex etc I wish they could put aside their differences and join back together as original as possible members. But Blaine is the sound of that band or let’s say 50% and the band sound is the other 50% I recently saw the accused A.D. and hadn’t heard that term and had to look it up and found out Blaine was the singer and that’s why I went to the concert. I heard some comments of other people that went to the accused concerts recently and they said it sounded like a competition between guitarists and the singer was nothing like the name The accused had made. I have since seen both bands a couple of times and I would go see the accused AD 10 times over me just going to see the new accused. Again, no disrespect but again Blaine has that classic accused sound, the voice, the lyrics, his style that is the accused again not any disrespect, but just about any three guys could sound very close to original accused band and if Blaine was singing, and you were just listening, you would have a hard time telling if this was the original band or not unless you are a hard-core musician and for instance, you were an Alex fan or a Tommy fan and you thrive on their style of or drums or guitar but most punk thrash listener scan hear blaine sing and say hey this is the accused. Again, I just wish they would get back together and be as original as possible. I think both bands would be way more successful that way by far!!!
For me, it’s not like the first guy who started it gets the name. Look at Judas Priest and Napalm Death, the first incarnations are not what made the band to that succes. It’s about which musicians or one musician has that chemistry to create that unique sound of the band. It’s like the Cro-Mags, Harley owns the name now, he started it, but John Joseph and Parris Mayhew are responsible for that awesome sound and songs on Age Of Quarrel. The Accüsed, it’s gotta be Tommy and Blaine. I mean, Sepultura….same story.
Nice work claiming all credit for Inherit the Earth, Tommy. Are you going to give your former band mates a share of the proceeds? After all they are listed as authors on the album Maddest Stories Ever Told.
Fucking love The Accused! I have a guitar body that I got off the stage at a show where Tommy smashed the guitar and gave the neck to someone in the audience. I grabbed the body from the stage while he was doing that. It was at Dante's in Portland. Tommy signed it at a show the next tour! Thanks Tommy!
Didn't Venom have to use the A.D. to separate the 2 Venoms due to band member split ? is this something that bands do , This A.D. thing? these can't be the only bands two bands to do this christian themed terminology!
There's Entombed A.D., or at least there was. L.G. the vocalist passed away from Cancer. There's also Terrorizer L.A. with Oscar, the original vocalist of Terrorizer.

There’s a version of the band called Venom Inc. with Mantas the og guitar player and Cronos uses just Venom.
