Easily 10 years ahead of their time. Poppunk without the sleazy washed-down pop part. One of the most underrated gems of the late 70s / early 80s. Absolute perfection.
Phife was born in 1970 so his mom would have had an 11 year old son when this record came out? How old was she in 1982? In her late twenties at least if this is true. Sounds implausible but not impossible I guess.
Amazing record. I made a question about it in my "Punk Rock (Trivia) Rules OK!" ebook: In 1981, short-lived NYC band Nasty Facts released a 3 song 7-inch of amazing, melodic punk rock. The band, fronted by a female African-American singer/bassist, was played on the John Peel show and performed at CBGB. What was the name of the record? a. Too Many Creeps b. Drive My Car c. X Offender d. Piss Factory
i pasted my drivin test to this song and bought aford cortina.2xl of course with a leather roof.went fuckin every where.then stopped drivin to puck rock songs and nearly crashing into trees in dark lanes.
8 years late to the party, but for anybody else looking, somebody else just pressed it again. It was a few months back so they probably all got bought up to get listed for extortionate prices on discogs by now but maybe not

Unfortunately, we'll never find out what could have been, but this EP is definitely incredible. These kids could play.
Awesome EP
Power pop not pop punk

As much as I hate YT for certain reasons, if it didn't exist I would be unaware of SO much cool stuff (like this).
This is really one of the best singles ever made, hands down.
Groundbreaking, hook-laden pop-punk perfection
One of the greatest rock & roll records EVER. Look at how young they were...incredible!
What, you got maybe three records in your collection?
@@chuck4262 You're an idiot.
@@chuck4262 - u r ignorant
@@chuck4262this is also the only thing they released.
@@chuck4262I agree with Pete. It IS a great little rock n roll record, though not well known.
production, arrangement, performance - this is damn near perfect
The best 3 songs I've listened to today! Crazy bout you, too!
They're all real good players, especially for how young they were. Lead guitar is an ace. Lead singer plays the hell out of her bass.
InstaBlaster...
めちゃくちゃカッコいいよね。当時みんな10代で作ったってみたいだからたまげたなぁ。
You are correct. The lead singing bassist was 19, the boys were 17 & 18
Drive My Car 0:00
Get To You 2:48
Crazy 'Bout You 5:19
A new favorite. This is great!
Amazing snapshot in time.
WOW! Too bad they didn't go on to more
Jimboco knew what was up! Jk, always assumed it was their label.....great writing, great writing, great production.
The singer is the mom of Phife from Tribe Called Quest.
Really or you make fun?
This is true. Phife Dawg

@@JenBlairArgentoIt isn’t, the Boyce here is not Phife’s mother.
The Boyce here is trans masculine activist KB Boyce.

What'd he say? It's a very different style, but I guess they're both from NYC.
