He kinda tends to act a certain way to get people to do what he wants, then after he does, he says things like “I don’t have a side” or “I did this, so you would do this” like that time he sulked in the donut box.

Honestly, I think he's the most mysterious and strange person in SVTFOE because he doesn't really explain much about what he's done and it's kinda scary to think that if he wanted to he could literally make things the way he wants and the book stuff is kinda funny because if I understand it correctly he can just brake his deal with a Queen and that's it.

You’re actually into the finale... battle for mewni was a huge chunk of episodes connected together, I kinda hoped you would do then in one go, but then again... there are so many episodes it went on for 2 hours straight, I think. I understand if you’re planning to keep going a bit at a time.
Well, we're getting into the meat now. The excrement is about to impact the oscillating room cooling device. You met the guy aunt Etheria wanted (wants) Moon to marry. The self-centered jerk with the hair, who never actually listened to Moon. Isn't young River adorable? Hey, now we know why Moon (and Eclipsa) always wear gloves. So Moon and Star are in hiding. That leaves River to run things. I'm sure everything's fine! And Ludo is about to have a rude awakening. For my money, season three is the best season, but all good things come to an end.
When I first saw Eclipsa I thought they would go to the genetic route with her wanting Star to join the darkside cliche while sometime manipulate her to make worse choices, but still relieved of that and still kinda felt sorry for her despite some of the flaws she created from her past mistaken and even admits It herself that shes' not always the perfect person to be around with and have some regrets. Me and Eclipsa also share the same "Mucnhies" whenever one of us starve for a certain snack bar to keeps us from starvation; I'm more o a Kit-Kat Aero bar kind of guy.
Season 4 and most of season 3 (apart from the first 4 episodes) are a bit worse than the season 1 and 2... I don't mean to discourage, but it sounds like your friends have made you raise your expectations a bit too high. But watch them yourself to see what you think, I hope you enjoy them anyways 💙
Well, that second episode probably embodies two of the main reasons why season 3 is the best: Moon and eclipsa Also, I think you missed it, but back in season 2, you could see eclipsa in the rhombulus episode inside one of the crystals.

The metaphor that comes to mind for me is that season 3 is like the big drop in a rollercoaster where it just keeps barrelling down with it's momentum into some really great stuff, but I don't want to suggest the first half of the show wasn't also wonderful, just not as wonderful as this will get.
