@@Titus-i7l Yeah, lifting heavy circles won't help out with current diseases, but studies suggest that consistent training improves immune function, therefore better outcomes with regular diseases and milder symptoms overall
I could've changed the wording on this a little bit... just to be clear, as long as it's properly setup and executed I think 3-4 workouts per week (and definitely 4) is enough to maximize gains for most people. It shouldn't be thought of as some kind of "lower end" frequency. Not that 5 days can't also work very well depending on the split, but it's not automatically better and in some cases could be worse.
I personally do A B workout, A (chest (6 sets) , back (6 sets) , triceps (6 sets) B (legs (8 mixed sets and calves involved) , shoulders (5 sets) , biceps (6 sets) So i need to go 4 times a week to get A twice and B twice so i get at least 12 sets per muscle group
You can also get really surprisingly good gains with even less time in the gym. * * - The intensity MUST be really high. I switched to high intensity training at the beginning of this year and have seen more muscle growth in 5 months than I did all of last year. It's crazy how well it works.
This is something ppl dont usually realize. For some reason, ppl want to treat muscle building as some mma training routine and go in 3 hours a day, 7 days a week and hit 20 sets for every individual muscle group and Ive seen this WAY too often. In reality, muscle hypertrophy is a long and extensive process and this won’t occur unless you’re giving your muscles AND CNS ample time to fully recover between sessions. I almost guarantee those same ppl who spend way too long at the gym and do a bunch of different excersizes aren’t progressively overloading them on a week to week basis which is CRUCIAL if you want to gain muscle. So yeah 4-5 days per week should be the upper limit and 6-10 sets per muscle group per week should be plenty in maximizing gains. Ik I’ve said a lot but I just wanted to give my two cents.

The gym gives me my, - ME TIME, it gives me the dopamine and eventual serotonin levels to make me normal again. Don't let lazy/ different people tell you what you NEED. try everything, and spend at minimum of 60 days trying everything. @@the.pinnacle what does that have to do with anything lol. Even if I didn't work out, that doesn't make what I'm saying wrong. Is this more gymbro copium where you think being bigger makes your opinion matter more?
@VYDEOS2 it tells me a lot about you, as a person, and why you'd feel that this guy has a point. He doesn't have a point, nor is he successful or rich. The reason you think he has a point is because you, yourself, don't have the discipline to work out and be a strong man. His point is that being big doesn't make you successful. His point is moot as the people with good genetics who choose to be fitness influencers or coaches are generally quite successful. On the other hand, being out of shape and unattractive makes your self-esteem drop and makes you hate other people just because you're projecting. You hate yourself for being a failure in this regard and hate others as well for being successful at it. The amount of muscle one has is directly correlated to longevity, and there are studies reflecting this. We're talking about natural muscle, of course. Success is relative and subjective. If I consider being strong, attractive, and healthy successful, then that's what success means to me in my life, whereas you can think differently. This guy is just a moron with no skills, acting like a fake guru but sucking at it and being a sore to the eyes as well, as he's never going to be the alpha he claims. Women are attracted to strength, and the perception of strength as that translates to survivability potential, and they are genetically predisposed to want to procreate with a suitable specimen who can protect and provide. He is able to be folded in half by 98% of the people he insulted with this idiotic take he had. Also, he's ugly. My girlfriend's opinion, not mine. No, I'm not your typical steroid user gym bro. I lift weights and do cardio for hours to be both strong and healthy, so I don't need to cope at all. I'm objectively a superior specimen in any relevant metric to this moron. But if you don't work out, you tend to agree with his idiotic point because subconsciously, you're coping with the fact you don't have the discipline to be valuable from a strength and physical capability perspective. Here, hope this clears things out.
Something about pushing yourself even when your tired makes working out such a big accomplishment. It's not just a workout...its therapy. It lets you know that your body is capable of so much more.

They have run tests with mice showing that at least 10 minutes of exercise per day (running) improves blood flow to the brain and helps in problem solving… the mice that exercised finished the maze quicker. The other benefits include confidence and the perception given off to people you interact with, where people will generally treat you more respectfully if you look healthy. Additionally, if you combine exercise with diet, you will maximize your mental potential, because most of the foods related to eating healthily with regards to your body (omega 3s, vitamins, healthy carbs, fats and proteins) also relate to your mind. Finally there are benefits related to dealing with stressful situations because your body knows how to handle adrenaline and further to this, your energy levels are more consistent throughout the day. When it comes to “overdoing it” - everyone has a different balance in life… some people are capable of studying for longer, others are able to exercise more…

If you have are in AT LEAST better than average shape, I immediately assume you are a more disciplined, harder worker than most others. That carries over to how you appear at work, too.

I'm 65 and have been working out for over 40 years. Walk, lift, stretch. Keeps my body strong and in a good mental state. I'll never stop.
Goals brother
The gym is all about consistency.
I personally do A B workout,
A (chest (6 sets) , back (6 sets) , triceps (6 sets)
B (legs (8 mixed sets and calves involved) , shoulders (5 sets) , biceps (6 sets)
So i need to go 4 times a week to get A twice and B twice so i get at least 12 sets per muscle group
My split: 4 sessions over 7 days. Push, rest, pull, rest, arms, legs, rest, etc. Best results I've ever had.
You can also get really surprisingly good gains with even less time in the gym. *
* - The intensity MUST be really high.

@VYDEOS2 nobody is going to the gym because they think it'll make them money. It's a hobby dude
Something about pushing yourself even when your tired makes working out such a big accomplishment. It's not just a workout...its therapy. It lets you know that your body is capable of so much more.

Working out is giving me confidence and sense of effort I'm putting into myself, which makes me feel more worthy
