Jason is a good business man and a gentleman. Would highly recommend Signal Sounds to anyone buying gear as their customer service is second to none and their prices are always very competitive
Ive been imagining the Signal Sounds stockroom for the last 5 years - this is immensely satisfying to resolve it finally in my noodle :) My favorite Synth retailer
Had my first visit just recently, Jason and Luke gave so much time and attention with no pressure but genuine love for the technology, fantastic guys and space.
Thanks for showing another side of the eccentric synth world. Keep experimenting, and looking for that elusive sound that makes your hair stand on end.
What a great and very interesting watch!..I absolutely loved every single second of that alongside the stories and nostalgia!!,,i could listen to Jason talking about synths all day long!,HIS PASSION IS TRULY UNDENIABLE!!!!,,Must also mention that if it were not for the Atari ST and tracker sequencer software way back in the day then i would have never, ever have found myself loving or creating music!.,,,thank you so much for sharing!! 🙏...Awesomeness!!!
I work for a Glasgow company remotely, this is a good excuse to visit the "office". Amazing collection Jason has got. I've bought off signal-sounds a few times, no clue they were Glasgow based!
Generally I only buy from other shops things that Signal Sounds don’t sell, food, petrol, deodorant etc, great bunch, lovely to chat to at events, brilliant service. Thanks for the behind the scenes look!
Jeezo what a place! Great to see Jason’s horde. Still planning my first visit so I’ll be demanding a full tour and a shotty thanks to this vid 😄 Nice vid!
I was at a gig recently wearing my Bis t-shirt and had about ten people come up to me to give me trivia on the band. So I think you deserve a full tour.
Great Upload, I remmember buying a JD990 from Jason when I was working in glasgow doing contracting in 93 94 great guy. I have the Zoom L6 coming this week Aux out but no returns but 32 bit lovely . atb
If you replace all the expensive keyboards with PA speakers and sub-$300 rack modules (mostly Planet Phatts and Boss SE-70s) this is exactly like my apartment.
Great video! Love Jason and his staff, have been very, very helpful to me in last few years. Have been to the event nights they put on regularly and highly recommend visiting! Always love going into the shop but that room of Jasons downstairs…wow, amazing to have that space and instruments. I’m already looking forward to my next visit ❤️🙌🤘🏴🎶
What a place! Wish I lived closer. I have this romantic idea of them shipping out modules to far flung western parts of Scotlands isles. Small white cottages on easedale island with eurorack systems.
Very cool. I miss sitting and chatting with people about gear and music making. I am also somewhat of a hoarder of gear these days. I used to buy and sell quite a bit, but nothing goes out these days.
@@StephenMcLeod when he was chatting about sequencers and computers, in between the release of zx spectrum and the Commodore Amiga, was the Atari ST and STE (with midi ports built in) released on them was Cubase. :) I still have my STE
A ZX81....cooler than all the Synths...except the Andromeda.....yikes. Wavestation EX (no filter at all), Bassstation Rack (lots of s's and filter that ate bass), Juno 106 (noisy chorus), old gear I ditched in the naughties. MMT-8, I still use a brethren of it the HR16.
i love how Jason projected 'i love all this stuff' so all the gear heard him and didn't feel left out.
hahaha I liked that as well.

Yeah they are awesome!
Awesome ! I remember Jason , he sold me a ton of synths when he worked at SoundControl yonks ago (still got them all) ! Must pay a wee visit soon
That's going back a while!!
yes prob 30years ago ! wow !

What a fantastic chat. Thanks for this Mr Stephen. :)
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Stephen, fabulous video. What a great guy, and what a collection.
Planning my heist right now.
Lovely video, thank you, I'm glad to have learned more about Jason !
From one set of legends to another!!
This was an awesome video and tour. Thanks! I think I'd like to have a wee whiskey in that room too.
Wee whisky and synth. Cannae beat it.

Nice! I am the opposite. I work for a non-Glasgow company, remotely from Glasgow!

I hear a rumour they sell haggis
Love browsing their site online and then watching TH-cam vids of the more stranger stuff 👍🏼
I have to try avoid visiting their site too often or I go bankrupt. ha
Lovely bloke and a great team and space up there. Great to see documented and hear more about Jason's collection.
I mostly wanted to construct a mental map of the basement for my eventual heist.
(just kidding!!!)

He is filled with interesting info!
This is excellent. Really enjoyed it!
Just as well.
This was so cool man! If i lived in Glasgow... 'ol Signal Sounds would have a rat problem. 😁🐀

I won't tell you how old I was in 93.
Had no idea the space was so big. Nice video. Def need to come in and have a tey of the soma
It's deceptively big!

I think that is probably pretty close to the truth!

I am similar. I try not sell too much... but it is becoming a problem. I need a storage space like Jason.
Jason's a true gent, I'll be in next week for a Blokas midihub!
He is a real nice guy!
90% of my stuff is bought from them.
they are a great bunch of guys
They genuinely are!
The alternate outs on the mixer are the sends.
No dedicated returns though, right?
great video, Stephen.
Thank you Allan.
Great vid that, interesting guy. If I am ever up that way I will pay a visit. 🖖💯🎶
Definitely recommended!
Where's the exhaust in the repair room! Poor person is just huffing flux!
That would explain a lot...
That’s me! There is a carbon extraction filter on the desk there
👍 signal sounds
great place!!
sick vid bro
Thanks!!
The small analog Mixer with Overdrive.... Whats the Name of this Mixer?
Cherie from OTO Machines
WOW! so cool
Wild collection.
