hating season 1 because of the vaseline filter is such an icy cold take. s1 is literally amazing and full of more authentic dramatic moments than the recent seasons could hold a candle to. also if you're able to watch s1 and realize it's literally a self aware parody of reality tv at the time -- project runway and ANTM specifically -- it is all the more enjoyable. akashia's fall on the runway was what started it all.

So true. It’s not even my favorite season at all, but the challenges and production was great not to mention that the cast was maybe the most talented I’ve seen. The fashion level of that season was through the roof.

All stars 5 being ranked that high? I was literally falling asleep during the episodes. It was a good cast but an awful season.
Agreed, it just felt really anti-climactic most times. Nothing was truly that shocking. Even the talent show, which is usually absolutely stellar each AS season was a snoozefest.
All Stars 5 could be summarized by having Juju, Miz Cracker, and Shea as the only contestants and it wouldn't make any difference hahaha

I’ve been commenting this a lot, but it’s undeniable that the season was rigged. That’s a fact. However, even if it wasn’t, Ginger would only have beat Violet cig it wasn’t for Sasha fucking her up.
That being said, I HATED Violet at first. I thought she was rude and shady. However, when I watched Untucked, I kind of started to see this part of her that was really relatable.
But it’s not Violet’s fault that her season was hella rigged...

Violet has the best dress ever on Ru Paul with her demon queen look, she was creative then (without complaining that she doesnt have money) and she had finess in all her looks, example, the half boy half girl challenge, look at the way she stands on the runway listening to the judge's critiques, the boy side is with an arm behind like a man and the girl side is with her hand on the hip while others just stood there. If anyone really watches RPDR, they should know that there are all types of queens- fashion, comedy, theatre. Violet was fashion, get over it. Her personality was fabulous and still is, and I absolutely love her burlesque shows.
And I hated the fact that the older queens would pick on her just because of her age! I mean come on, show some maturity then. For me, violet was as clear a winner as bianca or bob the drag queen.

Season 7 is a good season. It was just unfortunate to come out after Season 6 which was the best regular season. But compare it with S8 and S11 and S7 is so much better. Also S7 had a very strong cast and produced some of the most successful drag race alums.

Agree!!! Season 7 was better than season 8, s8 was carried by bob, point black period. S7 had ginger, pearl, Katya, Kennedy, Trixie and of course it’s winner violet (iconic) !!
Season 7 did have a lot of bad challenges and questionable decisions though. To name a few: the Shakesqueer and E-RuHollywood Stories challenges are so cringy that they are nigh unwatchable, Ru being dismissive of Pearl then being shocked that she clapped back was gross, Ru eliminating Trixie over Pearl in their lipsync was the very definition of "choices", Ru putting Jaidynn in the bottom two with Max when it very clearly should have been Miss Fame was mind-boggling. It was a season full of yikes, the only true highlights were the Glamazonian Airways and John Waters challenges.
Season 7 isn’t bad because of the queens it’s bad because of everything else such as challenges and storylines as well as eliminations. And when you factor in wins and lip syncs as well as high safe and low placements and mini challenge wins ginger did better.
I loved it, but it was hella rigged-let’s be honest. Not that Violet wasn’t the true winner...just that Miss Fame stayed way too long...
Season 7, 11 and 12 deserve to be ranked very high! There were so many talented queens, alot of fun moments and it was amazing. Violet completely deserved her win

@Arturo Henrik for me Trixie and Katya are my favorite queens of all time, then you also have violet, ginger, pearl, kennedy, miss fame and Jasmine which i also really love. Then we have max and jaidynn which for me are okay but nothing crazy and tempest and Frisbee (Sasha) are really the only two that i dont really enjoy.

I think Season 12 would deserve a Top 3 spot. This season was outstanding, in case of talent, comedy etc. And the cast.....was just amazing, as RuPaul said herself in Episode 11: "youre one of the best 6 we've ever had. I wish you could be the 6 forever".

For me the worst season was clearly AS5. Completely biased, they should have called the season "Let's give Shea a crown". The other queens had no chances. The best ones being 5,6 and AS2 ❤️. And surprisingly i'm enjoying UK2 much more than RPDR 13. All that Kandy drama, pushing Gottmik to the final for diversity, sleeping on Denali and Rosé ... at least we have Symone the only one that has a fair edit 🤦🏼♂️.
I agree with the Gottmik remark. I feel he’s overrated, or being given more favor than what he actually deserves.

Season 7 one of my favorite seasons - Katya my all time favorite queen and a GREAT snatch game.
Violet had some spectacular looks.
All Stars 4, Season 10 and Season 7 are all better than Season 11 by a long shot. Season 11 was one of the worst disasters in the show's herstory with rampant favouritism and just absolutely abysmal judging.
I'd argue as4 and s10, but not season 7. It really was one of the worse seasons
S11 was just HORRIBLE 🤣 It also has the weakest cast ever with mostly filler queens.

Forreal! The cast was so good! Full of very funny people and big personalities and huge talent. Aquaria is fucking incredible.
I think season 5 was more exciting than season 6, because it was balanced in terms of queens leading the competition. Season 6 is fun, but it was the Bianca Del Rio show, which killed all the suspense...
