Did disconnecting the electrical cord to the AIS/PAIR valve trip a warning light? My FZ10 required a blanking wire harness (resistor clip, similar to a Servo Buddy). I'd like to do the install on my R3 as well, and I won't worry about the disconnected wire harness if I don't have to. Thanks! I love your videos by the way. So helpful.
I just did this today on my 22 MT-03 and noticed Driven has updated the kit. The block off plate is now all open on the inside so no need to worry about the little notch lining up. I typically wash the bikes after each track weekend with some of the chemicals we sell but do not take a garden hose to them unless they have gotten very dirty in a crash. The block off plates are the same for the 2015-2021 yamaha R3. Thanks for watching! - Van

I am looking into the m4 street slayer for my r3 and I was wondering, with the m4 for the bike to perform best would I need the power commander, block off plate, and an autotune? Which of all these is necessary

I have a 2019 r3 and put a M4 full exhaust on with power commander and had it tuned but lost low and mid range power. Will this fix that? Or, would it be better to put converter back on and slip on after that?

SuperSw21 So what is the point of have the system setup from the factory the way it is now? I ordered the plate btw, but still have the question lol. LEARNING! ^^

i ve watched every r3 video you have and i am new to riding and tuning bikes, i have a yamha r3 with a full arrow exhaust, pc5, block off plate and high flow filter and the only thing i got out of it with a dyno tune injection/fuel is 1hp so WHY THE FUCK would all of this stuff be produced when really you get NOTHING at all out of it? I am aware that low cc bike yeild little results and to be honest i guess i done it all because i wanted to see for my self but even in a track bike set up this just seems like a HUGE waste of cash. i love this bike dont get me wrong but id never do it again. $6500 for the bike then $1800 for aftermarket parts, in retrospect i should of got a mt07 and got my moneys worth with more power and fun. i just cant figure out why all this stuff is even made besides the fact that retarded ppl like my self will buy it thinking it will do something for my bike. No hate here towards STG i love the stuff you guys put out and most of my knowledge has come from you guys but after market parts for anything below 600cc is just a waste of time.
Just bought a 2018 r3 that has a full yoshimura alpha exhaust. I notice it will “pop” once between each shift only on spirited acceleration. Would this block off plate help that?
The block off plate will help that. Start with the plate and see how much that changes it. You may also need to have a fuel map built to optimize. - Van

+Sportbike Track Gear Would you use this in addition, or in place of, a Power Commander?
You would use this in addition to a PC!
legal
This does disable some of the emission controls so it would be considered "Closed Course Only" - Van
Oh this is going to be a painful mod to install.
i ve watched every r3 video you have and i am new to riding and tuning bikes, i have a yamha r3 with a full arrow exhaust, pc5, block off plate and high flow filter and the only thing i got out of it with a dyno tune injection/fuel is 1hp so WHY THE FUCK would all of this stuff be produced when really you get NOTHING at all out of it?
- Van
