Searching for a Hidden Lagoon (and exploring caves) | Railay, Thailand

- This lagoon is enclosed on all sides by tall limestone cliffs with only one small access point. This steep hike through the jungle proves too difficult for most of the beach-going tourists, so it remains a magical and awe-inspiring natural wonder for those adventurous enough to make the climb. I also explored numerous caves, both large and lit and extremely narrow and dark.

Not on the boat anymore- it’s not going to get fixed until at least the end of the year, likely even later. Back on foot!

You have nerves of steel ! I don't think I could swim in that water without wondering what's in there !
That lit cave is right up there with Carslbad except there's no elevators nor obnoxious park guide droning on non stop... All of those caves are incredible and that lagoon up high!!! Oi vey to be just 20 minutes younger and with a babe like Brooke traveling, exploring and sharing all of that...phew...😀

Rai Lay, Rai Lay, Rai Lay! chant the boatmen at Ao Nang Beach who want to take you to Rai Lay Beach. The memory comes back every time I see something about Rai Lay. I spent a lot of time there in the early 1990s. Anyway, I know someone who has been having blast in Thailand during the pandemic. I stumbled across your videos a couple months ago. Wow have you been lucky! One other place to see while there are no other tourists around is Ko Lipe in the deep south, on the border with Malaysia. Take a bus or share taxi to a place on the coast called Pak Bara. Someone there will get you out to Lo Lipe. Enjoy!
