Most decisions came against Asian countries and especially when Australia was in opposition. Steve Buckner is ofcourse infamous for causing half of the unfair dismissals in Tendulkar’s career. No surprises there of how bad an umpire he was.

Tendulkar was being given LBW with ball hitting shoulders.
Catches were being taken of the ground.
Clark's were taking 2-3 wickets in last few overs of matches going to wire.
See the spell Ishant Sharma bold ro Ponting... Ponting was out at least couple of times before he actually nicked one to slips for Dravid to catch.
All these things could have gone against Australia if DRS was there.
And these are just few examples, there were so many such cases.
Even most shocking is player not moving after big edges

Even by 3rd umpire. 9 those were given by steve bucknor. Murlidharan was exploited in a ODI match by 2 Australian upires against Australia.

Murali was & will always be a chucker, that whole thing about his elbow being abnormally flexible due to a medical condition was BS.
He made up a bowling action to exploit it & then played the "it's not my fault I have an abnormal arm movement".
I guarantee if he'd been made to bowl with the same action everyone else had to learn when he started out he wouldn't have been anywhere near as dangerous & prolific as he became.

Some really bad decisions. A lot of these went against teams playing versus Australia. The Australian teams of this era were great test teams, but it is surprising how many dubious decisions went in their favour during this era. Maybe it was something about the way they appealed or their body language...somehow they regularly managed to convince the umpires to give 50:50 decisons or sometimes really dubious decisions in their favour. I guess Steve Bucknor was the worst in this regard

probably their fervent and shameless appealing even in the face of an obvious NOT OUT caused the umpires to agree with them. I remember Brett Lee would appeal by turning around and pointing his finger at the umpire while still running, as if he already started celebrating before the decision was made. The Aussies pressured the umpire more than any one else

They had international umpires so there is no home town favouring. The list itself is biased. If there was a list of all the decisions that favoured India, you would think there's a conspiracy to have India winning.

That Shane Warne delivery was not a bad decision by Bowden. The ball was going on to hit the stumps. Hawkeye was notoriously bad in judging the amount of turn especially back then (remember the WC semi-final debacle?)
When you are facing a leg spinner around the wicket, spinning into you. If you are going to pad it away. You have to at least have your bat beside your pad like there is an attempt to play a defensive shot. If it's spinning away from the wicket it isn't a problem. But it was spinning into the stumps.
And he raised his bat in the air like he was hailing a cab.
No attempt to play a shot to a ball spinning towards the stumps.
And tbh, he was using it too much as a tactic.
That is a way to get a 50/50 umpire decision against you.
The benefit of the doubt is with the batsman, IF, the batsman is playing a shot. Don't play a shot and the benefit may go with the bowler.

No. It changes when a batsman refuses to use his bat during an innings.
I remember this innings. The batsman was so determined to pad away without involving his bat he lost the umpires benefit of the doubt.

Out if the striker has made no genuine attempt to play the ball with the bat, is between wicket and wicket OR outside the line of the off stump.
The umpire may this non attempt at play, out. At his disgression if he feels the ball will hit the stumps no matter if it's pitched on wicket or outside off
