A good video. I know the different lapels, but what a shame you didn't physically show the different lapels for those who don't, as a picture paints a thousand words and it would have been instantly visually informative, rather than a description, which can be problematic for someone trying to figure them out in their head.
You need to put up visuals so we can see what you're talking about. Just describing the different types doesn't hit the point home with your viewers. Remember, people are watching your videos are doing so to get information.
You definitely need an update on this video‼️‼️‼️ I can tell you didn’t know about b roll 6 years ago. Great verbal description though.
I don't know what he is talking about... I was trying to watch a Conor McGregor MMA fight and I got this.
I get good reactions to it, I get bad reactions to it...but I get reactions, and that was kind of the point when I started wearing it :)
@roamingmadnessify Depending on your school/firm dark brown suits might be acceptable any day of the week, or in more conservative firms only on Friday. Same goes for a Glen check.
Very informative
Is it lighting to be blamed...? Well, the video is a real good piece of information but it wasn't very clear whether you are in a notch or peak lapel suit! We could make it out though, but it would have been good if you had 'shown' the other two lapels also.
Its a wide notch lapel....but not bigger wide
1:01 Notch Lapel

@SirBlade666 Well, when you think about it it's just two quick diagonal cuts, plus a tiny bit more hemming -- practically the same as having a perfectly flat lapel in terms of manufacture. I believe we've already done a French-cuff specific video, but one getting into the more uncommon styles could be fun...
@DrCoupDesprit It's a different and more specialized look that a jacket with lapels -- I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of work or business setting, just because it stands out so much. Could be an interesting piece for social events, depending on the jacket, though.
My dinner jacket is midnight blue with a shawl lapel, it is subtly distinctive but doesn't stick out too much from all the black peak lapel suits at formal events.
Thanks for the video but would’ve been nice if you displayed each lapel with the explanation
Pictures to what ur talking about would have helped.
Antonio in 2012
Verdict on peak lapel tuxedos? Is it really a big deal?
@duesenbergmj Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello! I would like to thank you for uploading and doing this video that it helps me a lot for my fashion knowledge and I love about the descriptions which you describe and the history of the lapel. I have enjoyed it a lot! I have subscribed you! :)
Antonio I'm I've been watching you videos everyday it's realised... Just decided to watch h your old videos... you've really improved over the years
Love all the different examples you used for visualization. Really helped with clarity.
Yeahh....🤣
found this video in 2020 after watching your more recent video, and man, I don't know how am i gonna grasp the image of the young Antonio
Antonio, this was a fine presentation sequel to your discussion on double breasted and single breasted jackets. A suggestion though. In lieu of graphics you should have changed jackets as you were discussing 'em. I know what your taking about; other viewers may not. Also, how about a critical/historical discussion on lapel withs and notch heights over the decades. That would interest me very much.
@CroSpartacus well if its custom then it shouldnt be a problem assuming that your tailor is a talented one.
Jackets buttoning to the neck are not limited to the military, not even in western clothing. Jackets with mandarin collars are fairly common among orchestra conductors, and this style of jacket buttons to the neck.
Thank you very much
Semper Fi I wanna be the CMC commandant thank you for your service
Definitly peak lapel 😎
Oh wow, when I first saw that sport lapel in your other videos, I thought that was the ugliest thing ever, but now that you explained what you can do with it thats incredibly cool and now I want one
Can you link me to these videos? i can't seem to find them and I think these sport lapels are interesting
You could have shown sample of each type..
Thank you very much for this video. I asked about lapels before. Greatly appreciated, sir.
Its cool to see how much you've improved over the decade.
Do you look more professional wearing a suit with a notch lapel than a peak lapel?
This videok helped a lot. I've been trying to find out which lapel is formal enough for prom.
the subscribe button is at the bottom not up there lol
i have been saying lapel wrong for many years o.o
um.... Shoulder pads should end at the shoulders. yours are too big.
If what you are about to say starts with "um..." you should just stop and keep it to yourself.
I can't get the ebook
