Japan formally started offering e-Visas to a number of nations, including India.

This is a single-entry visa, valid for up to 90 days, intended only for passengers with regular passports who want to enter Japan by air.
Through Japan Visa Application Centers run by VFS Global, people may apply for visas electronically thanks to the e-Visa program
You can apply for this e-Visa as a foreign national living in India or as an Indian citizen.
Like in the past, applicants must submit their applications to the Visa Application Centers run by VFS Global.
However, those who are successful will receive an electronic visa rather than a conventional visa sticker in their passports.

For somebody who's not travelling via an agent, what needs to be filled under "Inviter in Japan" ?
Most countries are doing away with sticker visa to save passport pages.
Some countries immigration (singapore, australia, macau, israel and maybe HK) have stopped stamping entry/exit seals on passports as well - to save passport pages.
Many travellers complain that they have to keep getting new passport booklets every three years since there are no pages left to stamp.
So that's good in a way and bad in a way

If my MIL is traveling with us from a 3rd Country an we have the 3rd Country visa already in place. She wil travel with us from the 3rd Country. We are citizens there and we have visa on arrival.. Can we be the garruntor for MIL from the 3rd country for the Japan Visa
Hi. Would you suggest taking a flight reservation ticket or buy an actual flight ticket for the VISA process ?
I always book an actual flight ticket, dummy tickets aren't good and they're only valid for 48 hours or so in some cases and if they cross verify during ur expiry it's a straight visa rejection

Hi I regularly watch your videos from North India here....for Japan visa does travel history required I have only visited Vietnam so may be at least 2-3 countries to improve travel history and e visa acceptance for Japan tourist E visa and visit only for 2- 3 days so it is possible I also have financial documents including ITR..so is pay slips mandatory. I will share trip day to day Schdeule too...If I travel why NOC from company then it has nothing with tourism when I'll have confirmed return flight ticket too.
It's not mandatory to have travel history but it's good, yes payslips is required if you show your working for an employer

I have to apply for a tourist e-visa so accordingly i have to plan my trip as to when i get the visa. Provided my documents are ok and i submitted mostly everything needed, how much time would it take to gwt e visa if i am submitting it in a city that has no embassy, i.e. Chandigarh
No clue about chandigarh volume, but in Bangalore it's like a week
We still had to submit our passports at VFS Bangalore. When I called the Consulate of Japan to confirm, they said we do have to submit.

one application will suffice and if spouse name is not there in passport then u might have to carry marriage certificate

Hey! You would need to submit the passport in any case. The only difference is that you would get a eVisa notification/approval which you need to show it at the airport. You need to have internet to access the eVisa to show to immigration officer.
Earlier, they used to issue a sticker visa (at some places, they are still doing it). But that’s the only difference
Well the difference of the entire process is that there's no need to provide your passport along with the things that you've mentioned, you should explain the process to the people sitting in the VFS imo, lot of my frens never submitted the passport and got the e visa
I am just laying out the process VFS Hyderabad told me. Even the first document checklist is to submit all the passports I held.
Maybe the references you know had a different experience. The rules and system that VFS Hyderabad shared with me is I believe official.
Although some other VFS have other steps which their respective Japan consulate has advised them to.
PS : VFS Hyderabad submits the application to Japan Consulate in Chennai based on the jurisdiction the consulate governs.
@@vivekshastry5510 not just my experience if you look at the official page of japans consulate they clearly state the new process of e visa where you don't require to provide your passport at all and that's for many countries not just India

Well that should be ok, jus need to submit payslips and write a signed letter stating not eligible for income tax yet but need to have sufficient funds min 2 lacs savings and remember not FD or stocks it should be in savings

That means the application will be received with passport together. VFS denied to scan the passport. They replied No instructions from Japan consulate to scan passport for visa visa application to date. Ok

Dummy's are dummy's you can easily change them later, jus a normal patter on Ur own words would suffice

Same goes with both parents with no surname.
Now my passport got expired. I did RnD and find out it's better to have surname. Can I apply with Singh as surname now?
Yes you can but 1st change Ur aadhar card and then apply

@@mallika_kadambande hi. Due to non visa requirement condition, I switched my plans to georgia. But if you guys trying for Delhi/ Mumbai vfs, you can actually fill your brother form and take up his passport and documents to VFS global along with an application attach( which should mention that u are submitting required documents on his behalf with your brother signature on it). Usually they don't ask much but having an application before hand will be better. I saw a video of youtuber couple who didn't even went to VFS but send documents by the post and got their visa approved within 3-4 days. Just make sure that the form which u gonna download from Japan website should be thoroughly filled and you are good.

I have applied for visa through travel agent. But he has submitted my passport to VFS global and he said I will get it back once visa has been granted. Any reason why he may have submitted my passport and has not given it back?
