Best video ever! The fact that you did a visual walk through was so very helpful. I had been stumbling upon the question at 11:00 where it asked if you’ve visited before. I received an EVisa in 2020 but of course we all know what happened during the year of the pandemic. Your video showed that you can just select “no” and it won’t require you to enter the old EVisa number below. I wasn’t sure if I had to enter an old EVisa that I never got to use and long since expired due to Covid (I didn’t want to cause confusion or questions). I tried contacting their help desk but got different answers. Your video literally answered my question! Thank you!!!

thx for the video but what is with "Copy of Passport page containing personal particulars" the next step after upload photo? I got the issue that I cannot upload my passport because I need a pdf file but the file is a pdf file. do someone has the same problem?

Good presentation. It CAN be as straightforward as you suggest but submitting a pdf of passport page less that 300kb caused me enormous difficulty and I am not alone looking online. If you are visiting a second time you are required to list all the places visited previously plus the address of first stop. You are also required to list all countries visited in last 10 years. If you save and come back to complete the application the question about whether you have grandparents with Pakistani connections always defaults back to ‘yes’. If the answer is no make sure you change it!
Hello. I agree with you that changing the size of the photo makes things complicated. It definitely did for me and I needed to ask for help. Thanks for sharing your experience regarding the granparents in Pakistan. ;-)

Thanks! I applied for a 30 day visa for my Italian passport holder wife. We had noted intended date of arroval as 14th feb. We applied for the evisa on the 15th of Jan. They issued an evsa today with the ETA expiring on 15th feb! It does not make any sense. Why would they ask an intended date of arrival and then give a ETA which expires literally the next day of the travel! If there are any flight delays etc, she would likely be denied entry i think! Just upload a higher size photo the system now have a cropping option just drag the cropping tool to it is full margin it will be adjusted and resized accordingly
When it comes to the last page to pay... It did not state Visa or master... I can only see two Indian Banks and PayPal... I key in to one bank ..axis bank.. the next page it shows to key in my credit card number and at the bottom of the page it does show Visa/ master...am I on the right track... Do I just key in my Visa card number there ? I don't have a Axis bank card
Hi The question on 8:09 ...have you live in the country for 2 years you are applying the visa for....i am from Singapore n never been to India before...so I key in as 'No.'.. ? they are referring to India or my country as you mentioned in your website that you keep in your 'yes '
Great video. I am doing this now, but unfortunately, I moved to the second page and realised my date of birth has saved incorrectly ... there seems to be no way to alter this. How can you amend or cancel a form before submission? I have logged back in using the temporary application ID, but no joy. Also, the calendar will not allow me to select a travel date for more than a month in advance?

Hi the apart where it asked have you visited Indian before? for me it's a yes, however I now have a British passport and when I visited India I had an Indian one but in the options below I wasn't given the option to enter my passport was used to enter.. I was only given different visa options therefore I had to click no I haven't visited India . It's so silly what am I supposed to fill in ?
When submitting my application, my computer cliched and did not show me the page that showed my new application ID. I tried to go back through with "continue partially complete application" but it said it was already submitted. I did not get a chance to pay the fee before it glitched. I am unsure of how to get that application ID to make sure the fee is paid.

At 11:00 my situation is impossible to be filled 😢 I was an Indian passport holder, born n lived in India whole life. Recently became an Aussie, can’t say I didn’t visit India, but weird options, only asking on which visa 😕
When I was applying for the Visa, I uploaded my picture which was in very good quality. As soon as it was uploded on the page, it was blurry. And this was also what they reported me back, so the Visa was rejected. Is there any trick so that the picture and PDF of Passport remain in the same quality? Did somebody happen the same? Thank you
For the question have you lived 2 years in the country you’re applying for does this mean your country of nationality or the country you are currently in because I’m travelling right now in Malaysia but im from Canada so should I say yes because I was born in Canada or no because I’m only tourist in Malaysia
Hello and thanks for your video. Hope you can help: 1) for "e-Tourist Visa (30 days)", the validity would be 30 days from the date of your first arrival in India or from the date od grant of ETA? 2) I been to India 20years ago, not have that old Visa details..how should I complete the form where it asks for previous visas obtained?
Hello. You are correct. With a 30 day visa the validity starts on the day that you arrive in India. You will have a new passport now so it should be ok to answer with no. I did that.
super helpful man, thank you! I do have a couple of questions, where is says have you lived in the country your applying from for 2 years! Well i am Australian but I am applying while in bangladesh, should I click yes or no for that? secondly at the end you said you need to upload the photo and the bio page, what is the bio page?
Hi, I’m from the UK. I want to do a tourist visa for one year. I am going to India by Delhi airport. Can I exit by land instead of airport? If you know please answer me. Thank you
Hello. I've just checked and found this resource, which states you can leave by land from designated checkpoints. www.visasindia.org/home/india-visa-authorized-ports-of-exit#:~:text=However%2C%20you%20can%20leave%2Fexit,%2C%205%20Rail%20Check%20Points).
My partner and I are travelling to India using our friend's cabin crew friends and family tickets. We're hoping to fly into Mumbai but we are on standby and will only get onto the flight if there's seats available. If there's no space on the Mumbai flights, we'll have to fly into Chennai or Bangaluru. We're aware that you have to select your entry port when applying for the visa, but if we select Mumbai and end up arriving into a different airport, do you forsee any issues with this? Or do you think they'll still allow us to enter the country?
Very detailed! Thank you! Can you please tell me about how you showed the visa at the airport and how Indian authorities checked the visa after you landed?
I am struggling to pay for the visa how do i get round this. i have acknowledgement of the visa but when i go back to retrieve it, it does not recognise me. i have today started another application and got stuck at the same place
Hey, thanks for the info! Do I understand correctly that once the visa is granted and issued (roughly 72 hours post-submission) is when the visa time starts? Or does it start at the date that you declare you'll be arriving? Of course it would be ideal if it started at the date you declare you'll be arriving,.. because otherwise I'd want to push the application submission as close to the date of departure as possible (to gain as much time as possible to stay). This would even lead me to be hesitant to book the flight, you know? Who knows, maybe its rejected and you're out of luck with the cost of the flight and also your life plans have to change, etc.
The part that confuses me is the upload photo section. I read somewhere that you are NOT allowed to take a picture of your passport and crop it and use that as the uploaded photo. When I had my U.S. passport photo taken I was given two 2x2 photo copies. One of which I sent to the passport office so they could put it on my passport and mail it back. The other 2x2 copy I still have and it is the exact same picture that’s on my passport. Can I use the same pic that’s on my passport for the photo upload? Also, does scanning the 2x2 photo automatically make it JPEG and the right KB size? Lastly, I have a small mole on my chin. Do I really need to put that as an identifier? 😂
In my case, I took a photo with my phone, edited it in Photoshop, and changed the background. Andrew did the same for his passport photo - he used his phone to take the picture and then edited it with Photoshop. To answer your question more generally, you can scan a photo and use it as a JPEG file. However, you'll likely need to edit it to meet the requirements, such as adjusting the background and resizing it to the specific pixel dimensions required for passport photos. Most photo editing software can handle these tasks. Lastly for you mole on your chin if you can see it on you photo you don't need to identify.
Hello thank you for this very helpful video! My evisa was rejected and has suggested to get a regular visa at the nearest embassy. Can i retry to get another evisa ? And how soon.
Hi ! Thanks for the video. At the end when we have to upload the photo, do we have to uploaded ID picture and Passeport pages at the same time ? Thanks
If appling for 30 day evisa it appears you can only apply 30 days in advance. It's October 11th and I will not arrive until Jan but thought I would apply now of cause giving my arrival date in Janruary. First page of application asks for arrival date but only five option up until 10th November. I tried to enter manually but not allowed.

@AlwaysonaJourney - Thank you for creating this video! Could you clarify the place of issue? It’s different from the birthplace, and most U.S. passports list "United States Department of State" as the authority.

Hi . I'm applying for the eVisa merely because I'm transiting íin Delhi airport ( I am not coming out ) as I am traveling with two separate tickets...the part they ask...'have I book my room 'if I were to state 'No'..will they reject ??
I just have an email saying my visa was accepted and has the visa number. There’s no attachment. It said that I’ll use the biometric entry. Am I correct to say, that when I go through biometric entry, officials will then “see” my visa? I was expecting an attachment that had my photo on it and official looking signature on it. What should I bring to my departure airport?

Once you get the email of evisa states, it's granted, then can i just print that email? Is that count as legal to go to india? Or after that email, do i hage to wait for 1 mire email that comes with PDF?
Hello sir There has been a process where the visa application has be done by a third party and I've the application ID number but I'm not sure about the name as the name is not mentioned can you please help on how to find the name using application ID
There is no need to go through a third party site. You should be going directly to the official India site in this video. Any other site is just some greedy middle man up-charging you for something you can get yourself, directly, for less!
Thanks for your video. It took me nearly 4 hours to complete. (Photo uploading issues as many have mentioned). Thanks. To be honest, I can't remember now. I think I've left some photo instructions in the description.
I can't remember, as I did mine a year ago. Try contacting the help desk
Hi
The question on 8:09
...have you live in the country for 2 years you are applying the visa for....i am from Singapore n never been to India before...so I key in as 'No.'.. ? they are referring to India or my country as you mentioned in your website that you keep in your 'yes '
It refers to your home country.
Thanks. Here are teh details for the helpdesk.

If you're applying for a one month visa you can only apply upto 30 days before your expected date of travel. If it's a 1 year visa you can apply upto 120 days in advance.
How long ago was your last trip? Have you already submitted your application?
When submitting my application, my computer cliched and did not show me the page that showed my new application ID. I tried to go back through with "continue partially complete application" but it said it was already submitted. I did not get a chance to pay the fee before it glitched. I am unsure of how to get that application ID to make sure the fee is paid.

Hi there - thanks for the very clear explanation of the process. We last visited India 15 years ago. Do we need to mention this and how ?
Hello, you only need to provide travel information from the last ten years.
Thanks, You saved us plenty of stress and anxiety with this tutorial.
Ah that's good.:-)
When I was applying for the Visa, I uploaded my picture which was in very good quality. As soon as it was uploded on the page, it was blurry. And this was also what they reported me back, so the Visa was rejected. Is there any trick so that the picture and PDF of Passport remain in the same quality? Did somebody happen the same?
Thank you
There are instructions on the website about uploading photos. I agree it's tricky.
Indian visa is a pain. Do you have a link to apply for transit visa or video presentation??
I don't as I am only familiar with the tourist visa.
For the question have you lived 2 years in the country you’re applying for does this mean your country of nationality or the country you are currently in because I’m travelling right now in Malaysia but im from Canada so should I say yes because I was born in Canada or no because I’m only tourist in Malaysia
Yes, it means your country of nationality. I was in a similar position. I am from the UK and applied while I was in Thailand.
I did that.
Thanks a lot! @@AlwaysonaJourney
super helpful man, thank you! I do have a couple of questions, where is says have you lived in the country your applying from for 2 years! Well i am Australian but I am applying while in bangladesh, should I click yes or no for that? secondly at the end you said you need to upload the photo and the bio page, what is the bio page?
You can click yes. The bio page is the page with your photo, name and address etc.

Hi, I’m from the UK. I want to do a tourist visa for one year. I am going to India by Delhi airport. Can I exit by land instead of airport? If you know please answer me. Thank you

Hello. Your evisa will show a list of designated airports. Chennai and Bengaluru were both on mine. :-)
Do you get a email straight away as the form changes

Useful info..Thank you. Is there a biometric we need to go for? Or its just eVisa
Thanks. Just the evisa :-)
Thank you
Hey, thanks for the info!
The 30 day visa starts from date of arrival. The 1-year via starts from the date of approval
Thanks ❤ I was about to comment the same@@AlwaysonaJourney

Hi how did u payment same problem with me help me plz
And how soon.
to get the regular visa 1 or 2 weeks will be ok.
can i just take a picture of a new passport photo, with my phone and upload it if it has the right jpg size?
Yes, you can, as long as the picture is cleared and meet the criteria.
Hi ! Thanks for the video. At the end when we have to upload the photo, do we have to uploaded ID picture and Passeport pages at the same time ? Thanks
Yes, that's correct.
looks like my arrival date wont show October perhaps i have to wait o apply when I'm a bit closer to the date?
Are you applying for a 30 day visa or a 1 year visa?
@@AlwaysonaJourney 30 days
You can apply upto 30 days before your date of travel.
HI, has the passport got to be scanned or would a photograph be ok
Hi. A photograph is ok.
That's right
The site won't allow you to apply until 30 days before your expected date of travel.

Hi . I'm applying for the eVisa merely because I'm transiting íin Delhi airport ( I am not coming out ) as I am traveling with two separate tickets...the part they ask...'have I book my room 'if I were to state 'No'..will they reject ??
I don't have a definite answer for you. I'd just insert the name of a hotel.
You should go to the visa page and log in with the details you got from the email. You'll find your visa there.
