16:39 How many resources does it take to tech into waffles? The waffle-line is only available to the European Civs and it is available starting in the Feudal Age. Elite waffle is 400 food and 200 gold. It's totally OP though and should be nerfed. I think 600 food 400 gold makes more sense.

The viper is the most consistent pro AOE2 player. Therefore the overall best. But the young guns do have their days and are catching up to viper in experience..I don’t have a favourite player I appreciate all the different playing styles and players. If I had to put money on a pro it would be the viper though.
So, the only way of going Karambit is to be super ahead in eco? What even makes the Malay the “possibly the best civ”, how to get there? I guess Karambit was actually decent here VS rams and skirms. I just wish to see it happen in a game where you wasn’t that far ahead already.
Personally. I'm impressed when I've watched a player putting Viper in a stranglehold, just to watch Viper turn it around. Recon he plays better off the back foot.
Most consistent, adaptive , strategic well known and popular all round player with the history of wins to back up the claim. So overall best player in the world.. some could make an argument that Hera and lierry are but they haven’t proved it with the consistency yet. IMO
Muzrab, don't listen to what anyone says. Viper is the undisputed best player in the world. Six of the worlds top players made a list of their top 10 a few days ago and they all put Viper as number 1. Very few people would put him as number 2 or maybe 3... but we're talking a small minority.

lets say that the viper is not "the favorite" anymore, but that isnt bad, now there is more competitiveness, i like that, altough i have to say that results aside, hidden cup Bo7 format was unfair and it felt too much for a single day. still GL fanboy not just viper fanboy!!
I mean the difference between him and Hera was basically a coin flip on HC4. If HC5 was going to be played next week, I'd put money on him before on anybody else.
He didn't struggle against an opponent till Hera, so that seems like the exception rather than the rule. I don't really care, I don't know enough about the competitive scene to understand who's better than whom, but I see the way Viper dominates games and I don't see that level of play from anyone else. Hera has some insane resilience to just power through that.
Yeah I didn’t like that when tied 3-3 going into the final game, Hera got to play on all 3 of his home maps while viper only got to play on 1 of his. Doesn’t make much sense. Overall great tournament and the competitiveness was amazing, I just want the home maps to make sense.
@@WillyMacShow Yeah you're almost at a strategic advantage to lose early, rather than later, as you get to play more of your home maps. Maybe that's as intended. I don't know enough about the home map strategy to say whether that's fair or not.

It's a nice historical touch that Burgundians get access to waffles one age earlier.
