- Thank you Klei for dropping such fascinating character. I don't really consider her a time traveler, but she is definitely a space traveler. A bit tough to handle at first, but if there is a late game OP character she is definitely the one. Wanda the Time Keeper, let's see what she can do.

In case people are not aware for those who want to make Second Chance clocks in solo play, you can obtain a renewable source of bone shards from fish by letting them rot completely then hammering the spoiled fish. (Small fish is 50/50 between Rot and Bone shard, large fish gives both rot and bone shard)
Also each time you die you make more shards than you use up.

This seems a like a great character, more of a glass cannon support, high damage, constantly dies and takes damage, but you can use a lot of stuff to help others including yourself
Eh, the glass cannon part is somewhat counteracted by the high damage even in young to middle age. Ease of nightmare fuel availability, and the fact she's got easy infinite healing. Also nightmare armor is great damage reduction for if you want less risk playing age 65+. But you can kill bosses just fine even if you're not old yet. I don't get why people call her a "support" though. The reviving is only good in case someone dies, which you kinda wanna prevent to start with. And rift watches are expensive so she helps herself more than others.

@@triggerhappy4199 Nah the materials for the watch whip and other watches are REALLY expensive, good for late game but not early game.
most of Wanda dialogue (herself and with other characters) its just time and clock jokes

There is also some meta commentary, like with willow's lighter "oh the havoc you've wreaked across the timelines"
Or boring "I don't have time to stop and smell the flowers" for a lot of plants in the game
And with woodie she says something along the lines of “I could’ve sworn you were a Moose/Goose/Beaver” depending on what form she examines .
Your voice is a lot more expressive in the latest uploads! I do miss the low, brooding inflections from the other videos, but this tone is a lot more cheery, bright and goes well with the rhyming we all love!
Tbh he sounds like 90% of let's players now and it's exhausting to listen to imo

The reviving clock is still pretty strong when playing with someone,but other than that she's pretty much the dark lord.
I honestly think she's kinds hard to play..

@@shiomaneki Depends on what . She is harder to tank bosses since her healing is limited but for something like ruins? Her clocks are unlimited heals basically and you can teleport home and then back each time you run out of space. Also , backtrack watch makes undodgable attacks a joke so some bosses actually get effed pretty hard

@@shadowkhan422 i actually said it because she's kinda squeashy and her clocks are expensive,therefore,not the most easy thing to get in the world in the early game(not to mention that although they are "infinite healing",you do need to wait for the cooldown to end)
With that said,i do understand she can be literally imortal if you do use the backstep watch correctly.

Maybe a small trick: When you teleport with the backtrek watch, immediately disassemble it with the tools(so no cost), reassemble them and set the same anchor point. This is to avoid having to wait for the cooldown.
unfortunately, they patched it so that you cannot disassemble watches until they are recharged

god, I have no chance. I haven't even been on a boat in DST(411 hrs played). I'm glad more experienced players have new toys to play with but man the skill ceiling has reached mount Vesuvius.
Wanda will be definitely my go to character from now on even though I don't even know how to ruins rush. The concept and unique mechanics are just more fun.
Hammering the archive walls past the grotto can give all the fragments Wanda needs. I heard it can potentially handle 5 Wanda’s so long as they arnt greedy.
You can also use the celestial portal since she always spawn with clock pieces
@@michaelcoleman2173 the last time i went there i got exactly 151 thulecite fragments, plenty for the whole family
Archives are very good for the fragments and the chunks as well. Not a lot of enemies and pretty easy to find the entrance
If with friends, ask someone else to rush ruins or time to learn. The walls are very close-by, though obviously more of a time-sink without the additional rewards. She seems really fun, almost makes me consider a re-install but I know myself. ^^" I'll disappear for a weekend and then leave it again.
He sounds really excited for this one. Especially during the showcase of the Alarming Clock... you probably know why.

by the way, as long as she is alone, she can also make the pairs of wormholes with no purple gems required as she can use watches from within chests. she leaves the watches behind when traveling

Wanda In my opinion is the best character we got from dst, her lore is vague but cool and her abilities can make her into a glass cannon if you chose so. This is my second favorite character becose eaven after a thoused hours in the game I still think that Wilson is the perfect character.

I feel like she has no downsides. Like she is around so strong as Wolfgang, can teleport like Wortox and have infinite healing (or age). I feel like she needs a nerf…
Edit: In the beginning her age is a downside but if you make some clocks you got infinite health (age).
@@coolejade The main downside is that she can ONLY benefit from her clock's healing, which can be tedious if you need to heal back up quick - pair that with the constant health drain and you can quickly go into crisis if you don't have enough clocks. But agreed, I think her second chance watch and alarming clock are certainly unbalanced
@@nafets507 They already nerfed her second chance watch but her alarming clock should also be nerfed imo. However, she has become my new main only becauseof her portal skills. I don't care about her damage.
@@nafets507 Maybe im crazy but I think if you got the sack her downside is over. I think it’s better that she can only have one clock that can be filled with something for more healing from the clock. That will make my inv not filled with clocks…
You actually don't need purple gems to make a wormhole, you can put a backtreck watch into a chest and activate it from in there.

not really, since you mainly go to the ruins for thulecite fragments you might as well get a couple crowns, and that pretty much makes enemies deal like 5 max, otherwise use a football helmet or eye mask for like hounds or other easy enemies. only times ive died with wanda was when i was tryna learn the kiting of a new boss or fighting something im not used to like dragonfly

i personally find wanda the perfect character for me cause of the back trek watch, i always struggle in ruins but now that wanda is here all i need to do is suffer through 1 journey into the deep and i will be able to back there anytime, same with fuel weaver

Fun facts. You can use the backtreck watch and leave it behind if you use it on a chest. Second chance, backstep y backtreck can be a bit buggy in the ocean if a boat moves and drown you upon teleport. Disassembling a alarming clock does not provide nightmare fuel back. It is possible to create new pieces trough the celestial portal at the price of 1 Moon idol transforming into wanda again for ageless and 4 time pieces (very worth my opinion) Second chance cannot be used to revive wanda when dropped if it's in cooldown. Even if you are able to cancel large attacks with a quick use of ageless watch, enemies can also cancel your healing if you are hit while the animation is happening. She does not lose any maximum health when you die so she may not be THAT bad for players that die a lot and you focus into always having a lot of ageless and a secongld chance. For most mobs, the difference in the number of hits to kill them changes in just one when young-middle to old, ex. Crawling horror and terrorbrek takes 4 hits young-middle and 3 old. This means that sometimes the risk is not worth the reward and makes a more noticeable difference in bosses. Ex. Ruins being always old can be counterproductive since sometimes you need to rank clockworks.

Fun fact: the backstep watch can be spammed at night to infinitely avoid charlie, at the cost of around 50 sanity for the time in between hops in pitch black. using two backstep watches will decrease the sanity drain to about 20, or 15 if used perfectly. (because you will run out of anchor points really fast and it's impossible to tell when an anchor point has been created in the night)

I have never played any Don't Starve game, but James Bucket always makes it fun to learn how it works whenever something new happens.
Thank goodness they fixed the bug where the life giving amulet will drain durability on Wanda.
It is worth noting that the Alarming Clock turns into an ordinary whip (same damage as other whip items like Bull Kelp Stalk) when it runs out of fuel and can be used indefinitely in this state. Damage is lower than a regular spear but comes with increased range and is significantly better than walking cane so perfectly serviceable for small tasks like removing spiders without wasting more fuel
In the wiki as well, but to get more time pieces you can use moon rock idol to switch back to Wanda again essentially giving u 3 time pieces and another ageless watch for 1 moon rock idol

Technically the backstep watch should teleport her to Interstellar space since just like boats do, earth, sun, AND the milky way is moving as well.

Even though this video is over a year old here is an extra tip if you are in a public server... Wanda takes 0 penalty outside of needing to instantly ageless watch when revived via a telltale heart!

be very carefull when placing a warp point as it cant be reset or used by other players unless they are also a wanda with the exact same watch (so if needed mark them so you dont get confused or ask others where it goes)
it can be reset by dismantling the watch, but yes having a sign would be useful

Honestly my new favorite character, actually surpassing Wendy. I have a soft spot for the cute ones, and this clock-smith cutie is a pun spouting dork with some of the most interesting potential of all the characters.

her loosing time after taking dmg makes since if im not mistaken our age is reliant on our regenerative cells with time they die so we grow older they also heal wounds so that should be the correlation again i might be wrong and yes i know its been 5 days already

Wanda seems like an essential character in multiplayer server and pretty op in singleplayer server . Which means she is only pretty op . Nobody has friends and IF you do , You or your 'friends' Are lying . Stop lying to yourself and become lonely.
Wanda does greater damage but sacrifices health in her most damage dealing state making her a glass cannon compared to the faster and bulkier Wolfgang who doesn’t quiet have the damage and reach the Wanda provides but still does a lot of damage and can heal through food and items
Fun fact: a friend told me that Walter is actually scared of Wanda because she makes clocks
