Wurt in a Nutshell (Don't Starve Together New Character)

Klei brought new character to Don't Starve Together this Halloween, the one that native to the swamp (and smells like one too). As a mad scientists it was my duty to dissect this creature in every way possible for the past few days, and this is the report I came up with! Hope you enjoy!

Alrighty, new hotfixes to correct my videos!
1. Merms no longer accept cooked fish
2. Wurt no longer has her stats restored when creating a king or going in/out of the caves

The fact that Wurt likes carrying around fish because they're cute could actually explain both why merms both don't consume fish you give them, and carry fish by default themselves. 1. Because all merms are vegetarians so they wouldn't eat the fish, and 2. It must be a part of merm culture to enjoy the company of fish, as every merm carries a live one, which by extension is why fish restoring sanity is a feature for Wurt. Giving merms vegetables must recruit them because they eat the foods and thus have an interest in them, but although they don't eat fish they accept them anyway because they really really like fish. Awesome attention to detail.

After placing down the structures, you can just replace the Swamp Turf to your turf of choice cause you only need it to place the structure, not maintain it lol.

@@nightrider7036 If that's what you solely wanted, then yes. But what if I want another Turf underneath for decoration purposes? Or maybe I wanted to put Cobblestone down instead so that non-Wurts will the similar speed boost as well?
Such scenarios can happen and maybe someone out there was curious if they could change the flooring if they wanted to :p

I haven't seen anyone mention yet that she's not strong enough in her initial state to hammer down certain structures like the science machine. (maybe it's just the one, admittedly I didn't test others.)
Also wondering, does this change under the effects of the Merm King's presence?

It kinda feels like characters like Wurt are more fleshed out and have of an identify then some of the newer characters. Maybe it's their ability to create their own empires with their own unique fiefdoms that does it. Hmmmm, then again Maxwell and Wolfgang are limited to the same minions as everyone else and they still feel unique.

once wilba comes out we gon deal with some gang wars, webber and the nurse spider spam, wurt and the warrior merm spam, and wilba with i dont freaking know shes not in DST only in hamlet
currently i see webber winning because warrior merms deal 50 damage, but attack slowly (around same speed as a pig), nurse spiders have 400 health, and heals every 2/3 seconds, so either wurt's army gets ravaged by freaking hospital spiders, or vise versa

I find Webber to be better than her though. Spiderfarms are much more useful than merm farms and he can eat monster meat with no penalty and has a silk beard to keep him warm. The only things i'd want to see in his rework would be his own version of clever disguise and perhaps the ability to craft special spider nests which spawn spider warriors and spitters.
