Now THAT'S how to do an unboxing video, Fil! Informative and fun at the same time! You know I love my TT02B, it's a much better spec than the road and rally versions. The longer wishbones with steel hinge pins and C-hub steering are so much better, not to mention the oil shocks! I'm with you on that body, very, very spaceship vibe cool! Agreed, the silver looks great and maybe a bright gunmetal?!?!?! Have fun with the build, if you can get 'em a turnbuckle set is a great first upgrade. Cheers! 🍻😎👍
Thanks Mark, I'm glad you liked it. Just having some fun, ya know. Gotta keep the TT02's alive and in people's living rooms. I like your gun metal idea! That's such a great colour! Hmmm... 🤔👍🏻
Lovely unboxing Fil! There is nothing wrong with a TT02B and if I am honest it keeps up with plenty of big boys out on the OR. Great place for people to start in RC kits. Love the body on this one 🙌🏻
G'day Fil🤠🙋♀️ Yehhh we'll take 2 please👌, not expensive and look like a tonne of fun. Your speed run challenge was enough to prove this platform is awesome🏅. Run 2 of these same spec and you'd have a great race. Nice new mobile phone mate🤣👌. I think these are coming to Oz so maybe in future we can grab one. Thanks for sharing your unboxing mate👍🦘🇦🇺
2 it is, mate. They're on their way! Haha! 👊🏼 -- You said it pal, 2 of these, same spec, you've got a fun race day right there. The versatility of this chassis is a Tamiya designers dream. I'm glad you enjoyed the vid, and best of luck trying out your new mobile phone! 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing beats an old Mot0rola for chassis stiffness. 😂 Haven't heard a fully formed adult saying 'pew pew pew pew pew...' in years. That gave my old chuckle muscles a bit of a workout so it did. 🤣👍
Oh, the classic love-hate dance that I have with the TT02B! Buy - Bash - Sell, three TT02Bs down the road, and this vid just just tempt me to buy the 4th one 😝 No no I need to be strong resist the temptation, be strong and save money, my poor wallet.🤣 great unboxing Fil 👍
TT 02 and TT02B are great chassis's to build on I find people Diss the TT02 but I find it a lovely chassis, loads and loads of fairly priced hop ups, but there's no need to buy every one, I did the speed gear setup and an aluminium prop shaft, and honesty it's as good as every other tamiya, Hpi, Kyosho, Schumacher that I own. Great video mate 👊👍🇬🇧
Haha EXCELLENT! 🎸 🎸 🎸 Yeah I figured after besting up on the TT02 so much in the Fazer series, I'd balance out the force and show it a little love in a different series. 😂👊🏼
I enjoyed building my 1st TT02 but I replaced all the hardware with allen/hex bolts and a steering with servo saver and link kit, drive shaft, high speed kit steel balls for the font shocks and bearings.
A very good call! The lack of bearings in Tamiya kits is still a bit of an annoyance, but at least they're relatively inexpensive now days. The steel balls make a big improvement in slop reduction, too! 👊🏼
@poorboysrc I used the black balls 🙈 on the body mount post I put the inside body pins down two holes and put the black ball end on top of the pin. This way they pin won't scratch my body and it's nice and snigger no body movement, give it a go 🍻
The Dual Ridge has to be the most alien looking of all their RCs. The have a lot of fantasy styled but this one by far is the closest one to needed rocket boosters on it! I love the odd style of it and mine is proudly on display! Have fun with the build. I did mine in the metallic silver from Traxxas paints but I think you guys have them as OnPoint paints up there. Same stuff different can.
l thought damn Fil has got hold of a Blazing Blazer or Preditor X10 or Marui Ninja or something alike! but no you show us this thing! Iol joking aside l think this buggy looks cool l agree its really neat looking and of course its a TT-02B can't go wrong right! Great vid Fil l would go boxart too! Keep the fun dude just brilliant!
Hahaha I'm glad I got your blood pumping this morning, James. Even if it was all just for another TT02, lol! But hey, how do you make an unboxing video fun after a kit has been unboxed 1000x??? Lol! 😂👊🏼
Oh wow Fil I've never seen such a thing! Oh hang on there is one on my shelf here 🤣 Yeah these are nice and handle well. One thing I'd say is that the bevel gears at the ends of the prop shaft do wear out or break before too long if you go brushless on these. Hasn't been a problem with the TT-02 rally cars because I guess the little wheels don't put so much strain on everything but defo an issue on the buggies with brushless. Have fun with the build and best wishes to you 😁👍👍
You've spotted one of these extremely rare birds before, have you? Lol! 😆 Good tip on those prop shaft joints, Pete. I'll keep my eye on 'em. I don't think k I'll be going brushless on this one, but you never know... 🤔😁
It would be heaps better if it was based on a fazer mk2 chassis right Fil? 😉 😂 Jokes aside, I know I'm not the hugest fan of the TTO2 touring car chassis, but the buggy version does seem to get a lot of love, especially from the UK guys. Apparently these things perform extremely well, probably aided by the pew pew pew Tie fighter rear wing! 😂 It's certainly a quirky body design, very Sci fi looking! Interested to see how this one does once built. Thanks for sharing matey. 😊 👍 👍 👍
Oh, pop this body on a Fazer Mk2 chassis and you've got a legit spaceship! To the moon!!! Haha! 😄 I'm hoping thebTT02B lives up to the hype. It's got a strong following and to be fair, for under $200 CAD, it's a pretty great little buggy. I'm hoping it performs half decently. 🙏
@@poorboysrc To the moon!!! 😂..... Or, to the death star perhaps? 🤔 Certainly looks like a fun build and run mate..... look forward to seeing what you do with it fella! 👍 👍 👍

I purchased it recently, but I've had my eyes on one for many years. The Dual Ridge has been out forever, it's just not very common, as the alien spaceship body seems to be hit or miss with Tamiya fans. 👍🏻
The link to this car does not list the car. From what I can tell the Tamiya kis I bought are all more expensive there than other places, so the $15 off doesn't mean much savings.

The aliens that designed this body found I spiraling in 80's minivans, I think. Wacky cab-forward designs are still some of my favorites. 😁
Almost 20K! Well done Fil, well done. That winning personality of yours is really starting to pay off.
