Nice job Chris and speaking of the bridge at 13:53 that's the Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden line with the ICE Line 41 Würzburg to Dortmund via Heigenbrücken Laufach Aschaffenburg & Frankfurt
7:00 I remember having to leave A3 at Helmstadt and go the "Umleitung" until Wertheim due to often traffic jams. There you see classic "old" genuine Germany - and very narrow streets in little villages
Great fun traveling along with you. Germany is such a beautiful country. I noticed that all trucks and motor homes stay in the right lane. Does German law require that? Also, is the left lane for passing only, or are you allowed to drive in it continuously?
@todd bonin, generally on German Highways (Autobahnen) and Sreets outside od living areas which also may sometimes have two or more lanes for one direction, you are supposed to follow the right-drive-precept. Whenever you can you drive on the right side. Overtaking is only allowed on the left (Expect during traffic jams). Trucks and motorhomes are allowed to overtake other drivers as well, except there is a sign that tells otherwise. You are allowed to drive on the far left lane while overtaking other cars or when you are going at a much faster speed then the others (within speeding limits). However, if someone faster comes along and you have space to let him pass, drive to the next right lane and do so.
@@magicunicorncat6742 There is no overtake for tracks, the have to drive on the right lane, also motorhomes. But somestimes the just overdrive. If Police stop them for this, the driverslicense are taken away.
@@irmgardbaumann2051 Thats not true. Generally Trucks are allowed to overtake other slow vehicles if there's no sign which tells otherwise. On highways with 3 lanes per direction they are only allowed to use the right and the middle lane if there isn't a no truck overtake sign there. In this video the A3 is pretty empty, so overtaking trucks is not a big deal. (only one elefant-race in the video) But on other highways with only two lanes or higher amount of traffic there are lots of elefant races going on like on the A6 Heilbronn - Nürnberg.
You have the best adventures!!! Although Germany is thought to be no-nonsense, it has beautiful scenery. The cities are spartan-like, but not the countryside. I love it all, anyways. Thank you for taking us through places I'll never be. 😄
What kinda car were you driving, dude? Like everyone was overtaking y'all! Even some dutch wagons, fer chrissake!! Nice video though. The A3 was my default autobahn for many years and until they finally finished all the construction it was a nightmare!

This autobahn veer off the German way of doing their roads and it's wonderful. It has a wider panoramic view with better aesthetic...It looks more Netherlands than German, bravo for great improvement...
It doesn't have to look good, beause German road quality is one of the best, and Germany has way more roads, and our roads are pretty old, you only drive 130km/h on a road, here we have no speed limit, we can drive even 300km/h if we want, if you would drive like that in France, Italy or whatever country, the road would be destroyed, so I don't agree here.
@@2dav7ry I have seen new roads especially in the former east and I'm not impressed. The problem with Germany's infrastructure generally they are very bland, the desi9or architects are focus in delivering cheap projects but they turn out to be very expensive because of the long duration, they also lack aesthetic. I drive many times a year the short part between A81 and A7. Thank you for a nice video again.
Belle vidéo
Drove from A-Burg to Wurzbuug and back hundreds of times from 1975-1987. Very disciplined drivers.
Good lane discipline! One of the few drivers using the right lane wheneve it was normal to do so.

Very nice video! I'm a fan of this longer videos from motorways. Very nice and relaxing to watch
Nice Video from my original home region. Thank you very much!
Nice of those nice cars making good use of the unlimited speed limit on the autobahn. This was a particularly cool ride.
Once again a video well worth watching, very interesting. Regards Wim
Great drive! I love long motorway drives, and they're even better with lovely scenery like this. Loving the trance as well
Super 👌
I drove this route daily for many years. Good times

Mega gut! Finde auch cool, dass du die Autobahnschilder hervorhebst. Aber die braun-weißen Informationsschilder wäre auch mega interessant zu sehen.

I've recorded everything myself. Most of the content on this channel is recorded during 1-3 trips per year.

Von wegen "Einhausung" von 1998 bis 2006 gebaut .... das war schon Baustelle als ich meinen Führerschein grad neu hatte (1987)
Das war dann vermutlich der sechsstreifige Ausbau an sich

When it comes to infrastructure, "made in Germany" doesn't look nice. I prefer Dutch and Italian roads..
what exactly you don't like?
Well I would agree in some places, but this Autobahn section definitely isn‘t worse than any other good section in Italy or even the Netherlands.
