Dude this is one of the coolest things i've seen. I'm sorry you lost your arm, but some of the technology we are seeing now is being applied to benefit people. I wouldn't be surprised to see this technology surpassing the physical capabilities of a normal arm in the future.
If that happen, it's probably gonna take a good while. Besides, it won't be better until we find a way to make robotics immunce to hacking and viruses and EMP's and so on and so forth, as now is, there exists tons of ways to fuck up even the most advanced machinery, which means it would be easy to beat a robotic if he's not immune to it.
Thanks for the positive comments :) Oh when you mention "this technology surpassing the physical capabilities of a normal arm in the future". Well, I've had a 10Kg weight hanging off my little finger, for the last 50minsor so and am able to rotate my "hand" continuously (360/720/1080degs, whatever) so I guess we've started surpassing "normal" humans in some ways. (58mins now !)
Nigel Ackland Thats pretty awesome. My uncle lost his leg cliff diving when he was in his mid 20's and my Grandfather lost his middle finger from a roofing accident with a shredder. I wish they were still around to see some of the stuff that robotics are capable of. Have you seen the new robotic ankle that they are outfitting military members so they can return to active duty?
***** I watched the "How to build a Bionic Man" my friend's father just passed away from kidney failure, I wish the artificial kidney was further along in development, it could start saving lives immediately. Very interesting stuff.
RiotHouseLP they are currently working on 3d printing that could help replace some internal organs, ad also some molecular stuff that would be more advanced than the 3d printing. I think the 3d printing will be the first to help replace some organs but probably wont be perfect like the molecular stuff they're trying to experiment with.
All jokes aside this is actually amazing for 2012. It's astonishing to see how far prosthetics have come and how useful they are for helping people that have been in accidents keep their jobs and their lives.

“Upsets children and upsets my wife”
nice
And excites my wife
“Now it’s a prosthetic arm in the future it travels back in time to kill sara connors.”
It's funny how he still uses a bottle opener instead of just going rambo on it with his arm.
Hah
Doctor told him to "go easy on the booze" ...
Lisutbg ha!
Lisutbg ba dum tss
I'd definitely request that feature
Don't you just love it when technology is functional _and_ looks badass?
This was 7 years ago, imagine what they have right now
Its some pretty exciting stuff
I was waiting for him to say get to the choppa

His smile is better than the arm itself he so happy
Please tell me it has the "middle finger" function

This is already 7 years old. How much more progress have they made??
That's what I'm asking myself
Pretty much fuck all honestly
@Omni king Zeno how does it grow with your body?
@@yourdeath7820 I imagine length and width adjustments. Kinda like setting a reclining chair to recline at a certain angle.
@Luwinzy it's real
A weapon to surpass metal gear
All jokes aside this is actually amazing for 2012. It's astonishing to see how far prosthetics have come and how useful they are for helping people that have been in accidents keep their jobs and their lives.
