They are required to treat every trade the same. It's not about wasting time, it's about creating the opportunity to be able to buy the car as a trade, only then, can they make over $1.5m profit on it. Without going through the process and presenting the figure to the owner, CarMax automatically looses out on that opportunity. Respect to CarMax for not blowing them off. A true sales person never prejudges the customer. He may actually be wanting to move it on for any number of reasons.

They can definitely afford it, but why would they want it? They focus specifically on lower end (15k-50k) cars and that’s where they make the majority of their money, buying something like this really isn’t worth their time.

There are people who rent hotel rooms for 20k a night and they are on the lower end of the “Rich” spectrum. Now that might sound absurd but remember there are around 12 million millionaires in America alone and roughly 600 BILLIONAIRES in just America. So yours and mine idea of rich is fucking welfare status to a massive amount of just Americans alone. Think of it this way, thousands of people make $20,000 AN HOUR! So if you wanted to rent a sweet car that cost $22(the average hourly wage) you would think that is a screaming insane deal all day long and you would never think twice about it. You probably live near or in a city. Ups uses older package cars in areas where they dont do a lot of miles. Areas that do a lot of miles they use newer vehicles.
In my area city drivers get old beat up vehicles as the driver parks in one spot and uses the two wheeler to do multiple stops. I did 60 something miles today and my package car is a ford with 20k miles.

That is the maximum they can offer. Also, who cares about a 1 million dollar kit you put on a car? You cannot modify a car and expect it to be valued too high when trying to sell it. Same way if you know anybody who has spent a lot to modify their car and is trying to sell it, a buyer will not try to pay a lot for the mods. You lose a lot of the money you spent on modifications. I personally think that car has more value in stock form than with the 1 million dollars kit for looks. The stock form is truly more valuable to a buyer than one trying to up the price with a kit that did not even add horse power to the car.
Double parking is pretty common when you own a 2 million dollar vehicle. Wouldn't want some idiot such as yourself parking their Honda civic next to me and opening your door into my car.

You probably live near or in a city. Ups uses older package cars in areas where they dont do a lot of miles. Areas that do a lot of miles they use newer vehicles.
In my area city drivers get old beat up vehicles as the driver parks in one spot and uses the two wheeler to do multiple stops. I did 60 something miles today and my package car is a ford with 20k miles.

That is the maximum they can offer. Also, who cares about a 1 million dollar kit you put on a car? You cannot modify a car and expect it to be valued too high when trying to sell it.
Same way if you know anybody who has spent a lot to modify their car and is trying to sell it, a buyer will not try to pay a lot for the mods. You lose a lot of the money you spent on modifications.
I personally think that car has more value in stock form than with the 1 million dollars kit for looks. The stock form is truly more valuable to a buyer than one trying to up the price with a kit that did not even add horse power to the car.
