I was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia 24th Mech. Infantry back in 1988. I was assigned to 4/64 Armor, Bravo Comp. The center cap on the roadwheel arms is semi clear in order to check the oil level because the torsion bar's worked on a type of hydraulic system. It allowed for a better ride and it made it less of a problem with breaking torsion bars.
