LAV-25 SLEP
The LAV-25 is an eight-wheeled amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle developed by General Dynamics Land Systems based on the Swiss Moach armored fighting vehicle.
It is used by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army.
The vehicle in the photo is a vehicle that has undergone SLEP refurbishment (Service Life Extension Program) since the late 1990s.
The refurbished LAV-25 is also called LAV-25A1.
The plastic model used in this video is Trumpeter 1/35 LAV-25 SLEP No. 01513.

THis is the 217 used in Narva not the 217 used in Malinovka that Otto Carius used.

I was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia 24th Mech. Infantry back in 1988. I was assigned to 4/64 Armor, Bravo Comp. The center cap on the roadwheel arms is semi clear in order to check the oil level because the torsion bar's worked on a type of hydraulic system. It allowed for a better ride and it made it less of a problem with breaking torsion bars.

Hello! Is this filter enamel? Did you apply the filter directly to the paint before applying the varnish?
Thanks for watching the video! The filter was applied with MIG's P241 BROWN for Dark Yellow after basic painting with Tamiya acrylic. After that, I protected the painted surface with Tamiya's acrylic clear.

Excellent build and paint ~ weathering application! Question: how was the Tamiya flat white applied? That application portion wasn't shown!
Thank you for your interest. Our apologies. The video was missing some content. As for the painting process, after painting the clear, I painted AK Interactive AK 089 and then airbrushed with diluted Tamiya white. After drying, I used water to remove the paint.
