I cracked the screen following that final step. The front frame did not clip in nearly so easily and the pressure of trying to push it in(yes even carefully) cracked the screen
Well if all you "turn on guys" would see the disassembly video as well, you would've known that they crashed the screen first time they tried to take it a part... so it probably will not work now either... Thnx for showing Etrade!
Please make a follow up video if you manage to get a new screen from the market.I realy wanna see it power up.Also the phone is now released so i guess the parts will be available in market. Btw nice job.
Is an adhesive strip needed to secure the back of the case to the phone? I've seen some tutorials that do that and one's like yours that make no mention of it. I would imagine it would be needed.
Hi, yes, you're right, when reassemble the back glass or front screen assembly, the adhesive strips are needed,we made this video to show people the reassembly process and we ignored this part, thank you for your reminding, we'll pay attention to this problem, thanks again!
Thanks for confirmation. I've seen adhesive replacements for sale in the exact shape of the layout, like for example the back case cover contact pattern, for sale on Amazon. Could you also use double sided contact adhesive tape? They sell that on Amazon in rolls with widths of 1.5mm, 2mm and up.
hi Etrade my galaxy tab s has had battery isssues (battery calibration or something else) it could go from 80-100 percent charge if I quickly unplug and replug the charger my question is, should I trust Samsung warranty and send it in will it be the same? plz answer or anyone else who has done it
Jack Frost If your phone is under warranty, you'd better turn to official help center to fix your phone. May be it just need a battery replacement. We need to tell you the truth, the battery of Samsung Galaxy S6 is very hard to remove and be damaged easily.
Is there adhesive just on the back cover or on the front as well? Looks like the front cover/screen and the metal frame are held together by the screws only.
Oh yeah you definitely need to replace the adhesive, and we strongly recommend using OEM adhesive for the job. Since this phone is unreleased the adhesive sheet isn't available yet, and we didn't want to add our own and make a big mess.
The phone still turns on, but as we stated in our last video we broke the AMOLED screen the first time we took it apart, so it doesn't display anymore. We'll make a follow-up video when replacement screens are available on the market
Does it really go back together so easily? I mean this thing is a nightmare, it'll never be the same again once taken apart surely, doesn't it need adhesive? I wanted to watch this for future battery replacement, thank you very much for this video. Please gimme your thoughts on the need for adhesive when putting it back together

Just to be clear. If i dissemble my Galaxy s6 like shown in the previous video, then i will not be able to use my phone because I can't see anything on the screen due to the amoled screen getting broken in the process? Or is there any chance that I will not break the amoled screen and still be able to use my phone?
Haha, we'll keep that in mind for future videos. Here is a link to the track from the last video if you want to download it: soundcloud.com/astro-shaman/back-from-space-1

Thanks! Yeah we broke the AMOLED screen. The device still turns on, but there is no point as you can't see anything on the screen.

double sided adhesive may worked, but use original back cover adhesive may be the best choice.

So no need of new adhesive?

Did it power back on? No point having a reassembly video if it didn't boot.
