We like NCL--but all of the rest offer anytime dining too. NCL started the trend, but I'm not sure how one can now say that only NCL offers 'free style cruising'.

I know you both did this video two years ago. I will be cruising on the NCL Joy, in the Haven Owners Suite at the end of November 2021. This is after four cancelations due to Covid, four rebooking's and lots of frustration. This sailing will go and we are so excited. Your video helped with that. I watch you both all the time. Loved your RV adventures in the Florida Panhandles. We lived there for 9 years then moved two years ago. We also did RVing and it is quite the hobby. Thanks again and hope your business is back. We have been on RC Anthem of the Seas out of New Jersey and Norwegian Escape out of New York City. Both new and gigantic ships. We have decided we like Norwegian better! Have been on Carnival years ago out of Florida and San Juan...food not as good but a fun ship!
NCL is awesome! Freestyle cruising is the way to go. Free beverage package for drinkers. Meals anytime you want and the ships are beautiful. You will LOVE Norwegian. We do!!
Getaway last October 2018.....NCL Has the food like everything..perfected...And ....they even had free flowing self serve soft serve ice cream.... Pastry in the morning is wonderful... Note even on the buffet they use china plates too...everything is displayed so well...love love it...........must go NCL

Welcome to the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, Ca! I live up on that hill, I heard you all taking off yesterday when the Joy was taking off! Beautiful ship! Can't wait to sail the Joy!
We just got home from the inaugural sailing to Alaska on the Joy. We had a mini suite on the observation floor and as you said, the observation lounge is REALLY nice, and having the bar there is REALLY convenient (the bar staff was super nice), and we did our fair share of sitting in the observation lounge, but I found that to get the full experience at the glaciers, you really have to go outside and get rained on. It was awe-inspiring. There were whales, sea lions and seals following us all the way home yesterday.
I'm so excited and I'm not sailing! I don't know if I could handle (1) one day. Thanks so much for sharing with us. OMG that food! Bring back the ice sculptures! Laser tag, yay!
Oh my goodness! You've made me sooooo excited to get on the Norwegian Bliss at the end of this month for our Alaska cruise! I'm so excited about the buffet because when we cruised on the Carnival Paradise at Christmas, the buffet was AWFUL! 24 days and counting!!! Love you two!!!
Yes, the buffet on Carnival is terrible! I had never experienced a good cruise buffet until we sailed with NCL! Their food so SO GOOD!!! We are excited about our sailing on the Bliss in September too!

NCL is Freestyle cruising so there is never really a dress code, no formal nights, etc. There are a few restaurant where you can't wear shorts (not an issue in Alaska), so really anything is good to go!

Saw you guys on the Breakaway! I will say the class of ships is getting better and better. Breakaway/Getaway were the start. But pool decks way too small with the bars right in the middle. Then Escape was much better. More expansive pool deck removing one side of the two bars. But the Joy and Bliss decks look WAYYY better! The pool area is huge. And you’re right about spice parties moving towards the pool deck. They’ve made the screen HUGE now and opened up the deck. Looks like Encore won’t even have a spice anymore. It makes sense if you remember the Gem and such ships.. all the parties were pool side. Makes you feel like vacation lol. Either way, any ship, NCL diehard forever!! Keep em coming! Love the videos! Joy was under the radar in China the last two years so everyone is eager to see her
EECC Travels can’t wait for Bliss, Encore then JOY to come to NYC. It’s super easy when they’re here. I’m just 40 mins door to door. But I would love to check out Alaska and the west coast
I'm jealous and upset lol The food that you showed in this video (especially the cookies, the mouse desserts in the glass, the large shrimp and so on and so on) was far better than what they served us for their first cruise from long beach 14 days through the Panama Canal to Miami. Those eclairs were ONLY served to us on Embarkation Day. (There were several people that had asked/commented about it later in the cruise, because those were SO good) We saw bologna & mortadella constantly, sometimes cheap deli turkey (never roast beef for sandwiches), never saw seafood on the buffet, however the indian food was quite good, and amazing bread pudding. :-) The design of the ship is nice and I love the balcony cabins too. The beds are comfortable but not as good as some other cruise lines.
I watched y’all just before taking our 1st first cruise on the Get Away. Now we are going on our 2nd cruise on the Joy this weekend. What a coincidence.
You guys did such an amazing job showing the ship and it really impressed me. I'm try to make a decision for November 2020 between the Joy, the new Mardi gras and the Harmony of the sea. Which would you pick? Prices and ports are all comparable.
Thanks so much Michele! That is a really hard decision! We are booked on the MG in October 2020 so will be trying that one out too. I will be honest that I am concerned about some of the layout of that ship... But we will see, hopefully it will work better in person that the deck plans appear. I don't think you will be unhappy with any of these choices. Sorry, I am not more helpful, but I want them all :)

I was booked on the Joy's first Alaska Cruise on April 17-24th but It got cancelled. So I had to book on the the Bliss for May 12-19 10 and a wake up so excited..
Omgosh I was on the Inaugural Sailing for 3 days. It was spectacular. I was on 26,27, 28 got off the 29 early morning. Wasn’t it spectacular. We were on the Bliss in July so we were pleased it was just like her. LOVE THE JOY.
Oh jealous! I somehow didn't even know about that one until last week??? Not sure how I missed that. I would have LOVED to have more time, tis ship was amazing! We will be on the Bliss in September... so excited!
Could you comment on the electrical outlets please. I couldn’t see any by the beds. I just skipped scheduling a cruise for my sister and me because there were no bedside outlets for us to plug n our cpaps.
There were none next to the bed, but they ship will be able to provide you with an extension cord to the desk or you can bring one of your own. This is a normal set up on most cruise ships.
Go carts on the Bliss in March were $10 a ride but they have pkgs available also. Big tip...make sure to sign up as soon as you get on the ship in the Social. Times go fast!! Not sure about lazer tag since we didnt do that but imagine it would be close to the same price

niuhuskieguy I was on the Oasis of the Seas @4 years ago. It is definitely big. Can’t wait to compare it to the NCL Joy. Will be sailing in March 2020.

I was booked on the Joy's first Alaska Cruise on April 17-24th but It got cancelled. So I had to book on the the Bliss for May 12-19 10 and a wake up so excited..
We will be on the Bliss in September!!

Omgosh I was on the Inaugural Sailing for 3 days. It was spectacular. I was on 26,27, 28 got off the 29 early morning. Wasn’t it spectacular. We were on the Bliss in July so we were pleased it was just like her. LOVE THE JOY.
Oh jealous! I somehow didn't even know about that one until last week??? Not sure how I missed that. I would have LOVED to have more time, tis ship was amazing! We will be on the Bliss in September... so excited!
Yes you will love the Bliss! It’s very similar to the Joy. The pool deck is different tho.
When was the Joy in port? We boarded the Bliss on Easter Day there
It was just one night. We boarded 4/29 and got of the next day. The ship is on its way to Seattle now.

Could you comment on the electrical outlets please. I couldn’t see any by the beds. I just skipped scheduling a cruise for my sister and me because there were no bedside outlets for us to plug n our cpaps.
There were none next to the bed, but they ship will be able to provide you with an extension cord to the desk or you can bring one of your own. This is a normal set up on most cruise ships.
I’m guessing Spice H2O on the NCL Encore is going to be designed the same way now that laser tag is at the back of the ship.
I will be curious to see that ship too...

This is making me so excited for my first cruise on the Joy in November! I am really curious on the cost of the go-carts, laser tag, and VR.
Go carts on the Bliss in March were $10 a ride but they have pkgs available also. Big tip...make sure to sign up as soon as you get on the ship in the Social. Times go fast!! Not sure about lazer tag since we didnt do that but imagine it would be close to the same price
The cost is $10-15 per person for each activity or you can buy a pass for your entire cruise.

omg I am so jealous of you guys! I have got to book on this ship. Can you say Racetrack! I think the Joy is the sister shiip to the Bliss. Layout is very similar to each other.

@@EECCTravels I was watching the recent Joy vid, and how you guys were saying NCL layouts are your fave etc. The layout of the Oasis class is just in a world of its own. I am sure you have seen! It flows so well. I can't wait to see you guys vlog it eventually! I can't wait to get back on myself. Indy was great this year, but my heart belongs to Allure and her sisters!
