      31,000 in Afghanistan, but nearly a million (some estimate over that) across the 8 Middle Eastern countries the US is/has bombed over the last 15 years. I think Iraq has had the most civilian casualties, would have to check though.
      No matter how the numbers are dispersed, it's horrific. When the US does it, we call that something cute like collateral damage.

Plus, things aren't any better when you consider the fact that thousands of Afghans are flooding in from pakistan to put further stress on the strained economy. If you had the oppurunity to get away from it all, you'd be a dumbass to say no.

      CIA? lol! More like the fundamentalists didnt like the communist approach to Islam and culture in the region. Once the people rebelled against the communist occupiers the CIA intervened with backing for the mujahideen in a proxy war vs the USSR. Lesson to be learned is that no outside influence is going to change Afghanistan. The Soviets failed and now the US is failing. They have to change it themselves with people like the young man at the end of this clip.

    coming from a veteran....we have made certain wrong decision but our army should not be blamed....they are there for their duty and not for money or oil....
    Pakistan is a big player out there which is helping the terrorists against India and Afghanistan.....they have openly supported the Haqquani network.....
    I think America should stop all sort of economic aid to Pakistan and it should be isolated

    • @vanMrMann
      @vanMrMann 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes the army, or the commander of chief is to blame. Especially if they do the same mistake over and over again.
      Pakistan should be politically isolated but don't stop developing their country. Their inhabitants need a step into the western world, again.

    • @wallytuber

    The war has thus far cost in excess of 750 billion dollars. Commonsense demands that I formulate one single question: What can one do with 750 billion dollars - in a country such as Afghanistan - in terms of education, diversification of crops, strengthening of democratic initiatives and investing in healh care and job creation with a wallet containing 750 billion dollars? The only conclusion I can arrive at is that it is not in the interest of the U.S. Military Industrial Complex to do just that!

    Let me tell you something about Paktun people you cannot Enslave them, you cannot out fight them. Period. Pakhtuns are the most hard working people in the world but they have their own way of living, you can say the most beautiful things in the world to them, tell them they will all be millionaires and their country will be great but even then they will not accept an outsider. YOU CANNOT PUT A PUPPET IN THIS REGION. That is why they refused Karzai in Afghanistan, that is why they refuse the puppet they put in Iraq, that is why Libya has 2 governments and they still reject them, that is why Egypt doesn't accept their leaders. What people don't get is America is but 300 years old and Human Civilization started from the Indus River Valley which is currently Sindh, Pakistan and modern day Iraq. If they defeat Taliban they will do it themselves. Look at what the death of 2900 people brought to the world (don't get me wrong 9/11 was horrible and people who did it will go to hell, which i still think was an inside job) and groups like ISIS etc will have a special place in hell but does that one event justify the destruction of so many lives and countries?
