I’ve been watching ostapenko’s matches closely even during her inconsistent form in the previous seasons. What I notice is that she’s definitely playing smarter and not going too all out in those longer rallies. She knows she’s capable of big ground strikes and hard flat shots, so going deep rather than always going for the lines makes her stay in the rally but also pushes her opponents, and puts less power in those great angles. These shots more often than not will always generate short balls from opponents and then she’ll do what she loves - to hit the winner. It’s great to see this confidence in her as she is gunning those returns and winners. She’s grown a lot, and even if she loses a set, she can always rely on this consistency tactic to carry her through the three sets (like her matches in Dubai). I really hope she starts getting to those Semis and finals in majors. This is exciting to watch.
Mugu’s biggest weaknesses are variety and speed. She also kept on hitting to the centre of the court while ostapenko’s returns often had more angles than hers.
So happy to see Jelena finally display this kind of form. No surprise at all, with Ostapenko‘s power and especially Murguruza‘s lack of speed and movement, just the expected result and outcome! If Ostapenko would have the form, she has the last 1,5 weeks, I‘m pretty sure she was the number one player at some point, somehow!
Ostapenko has destroyed all top players. Her return is out of the world, put away in both for and backhands. She doesn’t seem to hit hard but her balls are so flat, fast and accurate like missiles.
You know....there were matches where Ostapenko won after 3 set battles...including the last won match witch Iga Swiatek in which Iga served for a match in a third set but her serve failed her making those ultra aggressive returns of Ostapenko possible, but it was a tight match where both had their multiple chances...and Ostapenko actually hits very hard..she is a pretty heavy player as for women standards (her body morphology, weight). She pure power is comparable to peak Serena Williams or even stronger at times. You can clearly see that some of her opponents struggle with controlling the ball trying to hit her balls back; or often that fast strong ball passes them by even despite a fact they are just 2 meters away but it comes as fast as bullet.
With the amount of winners in this match, Muguruza got schooled. Jelena could take another title if she continuously play like this. Her precision returns is a beauty to behold. Garbine got very frustrated to oblivion.

@@markuse3472 you really need to read about North Eastern Europe before you talk about “ white girl “ Karen 🤦🏽♂️. And then probably you will understand the tenacity she needed to have! I just think, same way than Nietzsche, that tenacity should be more celebrated!
@@renatoamaraldemiranda2558 I never denied anyone's tenacity, but just did. My point was and is and always will be that, and here is her name, when Garbine Muguruza acts up--which is not often nor is it noticeable, racists bash and thrash her. But when your tenacious "White" people do it, you jump in and make excuses for them and support them. I am waiting from you a very typical but flawed comment or response regarding what I just said. NE Europe? I am a bit thrown off because last time I checked...well, I'll just leave it there for now.
@@markuse3472 I didn’t ever read that many comments bashing Garbine or racist toward her as she is Spanish which is a country with a huge tennis tradition. The point is we should more often appreciate tenacity and admire it. But I noticed you can’t understand that as you too focus of fake racism and victim mentality instead of celebrating tenacity
@@markuse3472 Your writing is flawed. Last I checked, Mugu was a white woman from Spain . Sut up already, you are such a tool! She is white as Elena, just a different ethnicity. Coco is black, Stevens is black, Williams sister black, Keys biracial, Osaka identifies as black and is PROUD. Why you trying to put Mugu in any oF THOSE CATEGORIES? Take a look around her, I don't see one minority. There is no Asian. no black person, Indian, or any other person of dark complexion in her circle. That should tell you something! STFU, because Mugu loves her white entitled life.
6:01: Ruthless indeed! 6:30: There had to be ten shots in the video of Muguruza seeing the ball sail by, and then shrug her shoulders and drop her head down in forlorn disbelief.
The SNAP-ening of Ostapenko keeps on going
She’s pretty much INVINCIBLE at this point. LET’S GO OSTAPENKO, keep shuting up them haters! 👑🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾
Most people dislike her for her terrible attitude and poor sportsmanship. She has the personality and looks of a spoiled brat. Great player, but yeah
Ostapenko makes it so easy for every shot. So good!
Ostapenko is on fire 🔥
Another nasty handshake by Muguruza. You have to be a nice person and a good Tennis player for the fans to admire the player. She is none of them. Congratulations to Ostapenko. Go Jelena you lift this Trophy.
So true , but she has her die hard fans , mostly Spaniards who stand by her. @Marcus E always saying it's about race when Mugu is not a minority.
Ostapenko is the champions beater. She is the future of women tennis. I'm all in for her.
39 - 5 winners seemed Sharapova vs. Some ITF player in Masha's apex a real annihilation Ostapenko still hit more than the double of unforced errors what is irrelevant for this match
Well for Ostapenko's style of play, it will bring the risk of a lot of UEs, but she's playing some fearless tennis that made it happen for her today yet again 👍🏾
@@tellocas0 Ostapenko made only 5 U.E Yesterday
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 well , she's still a work in progress while pulling out Ws with fluctuating # of UEs. She made it work lol 😆
Let any lady have any number of titles Ostapenko is the best player the Tennis world has ever seen
I'm very pleased to read a line from you ...sent a comment here because I see you always liking my post and comment... thanks 😍 for your continuous love and support. How long since you have being my fan
I am a Serena fan but she is at her twilight years now as a player.... counting on a Serena-type of power... there she is..... congrats Ostapenko
Ostapenko reminds of all out aggression like Monica seles
I don’t like Osta much but this is the first time I’ve rooted for her.
No surprise at all, with Ostapenko‘s power and especially Murguruza‘s lack of speed and movement, just the expected result and outcome!
If Ostapenko would have the form, she has the last 1,5 weeks, I‘m pretty sure she was the number one player at some point, somehow!
the way she's playing now she looks unbeatable but I don't think she was ever top-ranked could be wrong
penko의 서브가 조금만 개선되면 그녀는
아마도 우주최강이 될거에요.
Seems like she can beat kontaviet in semis
I agree
Nope konta beat her again!!!
Penko keep it up you are on fire .
Mugu comeback stronger next time . I know you can
Ostapenko has destroyed all top players.
Великолепно! Браво!
With the amount of winners in this match, Muguruza got schooled. Jelena could take another title if she continuously play like this. Her precision returns is a beauty to behold. Garbine got very frustrated to oblivion.
