I have a XS Power D3400 under the hood, and a XS Power D3100 secondary for my system. In total I have 175ah of AGM powering my system. It's around 7k watts all together. It does great with this much power. I'm building a 80ah XS Power Yinlong lithium bank with 12 cells to replace my AGM. The best battery you could use to push this amp would be 40ah Yinlong bank. That 6 Yinlong cells in series. It's good for 5k watts.
I don't have any complaints. I have been using it since I made this video pushing 2 HCCA 124s with no issues. Im going to use a MD12k in my next build for sure.
They are 12s. I understand they are not being fully powered after box rise. My goal with this build was to have a bit of SPL and still retain great SQ. To my hearing, I have achieved my goal. This is also my daily driver, so I want these subs to last as long as possible...lol. I have a few ideas for a SPL build that I want to do with some 15s later on. Im going to go with four 152s and a Taramps 12k in a 4th order box. If I somehow get the extra money, I might be able to go with eight 152s and 2 Taramps 12k. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and if I lay the back seats down, I believe I will have enough space. Thanks for checking out the video :-)
No problem. Hope I can help. The MD line is a full range amplifier, so you can use it for midrange, and lows. It isn't great for highs. It can only be set to receive signals below 5khz, so it wont be able to run tweeters very well. You can set the crossover in your head unit if it has one, or you can set the crossovers on the amp itself. You can also use an external crossover if you want to use an electronic crossover. I use my amp for sub-bass. I have the crossover in my head unit set. If you use a crossover other than the amp, make sure the amp's crossover is set wide enough to receive the signal from the other source.
Russell Burganol thank you very much I really appreciate it and I’m looking forward in seeing your build soon what amp are you going to use for your midrange speakers
Np. This is one of the reasons I chose to make videos, to be able to share what I've learned with other enthusiasts. I use a Skar Audio SKv2 200.4.This is my build log.th-cam.com/play/PLVmCRCpU5HN4xcFwsoMpnIAqpcfWIKLPr.html

Oh yeah. No issues!
You are under powering those two 15's. You should have bought the md 8000.1.

How do you like the amp so far?
It is great. I cannot believe how well it performs being as cheap as it is.

Ok thanks for replying I really appreciate it and another question I have is can this amp be used for a chuchero or midrange speakers or only bass?
