70000 Britannia Powers with the Final Golden Arrow of 2024, 05/10/2024

Today's video sees me travel to Kent to see 70000 Britannia work the final Golden Arrow of 2024. The tour started in Norwich at the wonderful early start time of 6 am under diesel traction until it reached Willesden where 70000 was waiting for the train, The first shot today is where 70000 is seen climbing Bearsted Bank, Here the Brit was running late but putting on a fine show for everybody on the Bridge and also at the Station behind. After a dash in the car and hoping the Brit would wait at Charing for the full amount of booked time, After all I got to the spot at Ashford International with plenty of time to spare as the Brit had only just left the Water Stop at Charing. After the Brit had passed it was time to regroup once Thomas had found the correct entrance to the Petrol station.
After some food from the local mcdonalds we decided to kill some time and decided to head to Burmash Road on the Romney Hythe and Dymnchurch Railway to catch Number 9 Winston Churchill working the 15:00 from Hythe to Dungeness. After that had passed we went to a foot crossing near Walmer station. The Brit was running a good 13 minutes late here as it was following a booked javelin. After what seemed would be the Shot of the day we hopped back into the car to catch her again at Folkestone West, Thanks to a Grumpy Old Karen the shot was shortened as she claimed she couldn't get passed me and my tripod. Then again at the end of the shot some Man came up and kicked my Tripod leg again resulting in the shot being shortened after the train had fully passed thankfully. Oh well not to worry back in the car for a dash to Otford to catch the Brit again for the last time. Again making a lovely sound track for everyone. enjoy
