The fight on Fremont is a more accurate description. I like to hear the the witness descriptions, like Mrs King who is stuck in Bauers Meat Market when the fight broke out. Very interesting. There were a lot of families living there that never get mentioned in the history books either.

@@VitoHoffa I’m fine with it being dramatized and understand that they have to fill in many holes for dialogue. But simple things Doc not getting shot at the gunfight. Wyatt just getting 25% at the Oriental, when he actually bought is way in months after arriving, not 5 mins… and Milt Choice owner operator??? Clem was the owner Doc happen to see Wyatt on the street.. they actually came together. Along with Virgil and Morgan. Wyatt did not get off a train and meet up with them. Where’s James? And Warren later on when they went hunting for Ringo? And Morgan being upset that he shot someone? Morgan was looking to fight.. he was a hothead and could not be controlled sometimes. Wyatt hearing the shot that killed Morgan at Hatches?… No, Wyatt was sitting there while he was playing pool… in fact one shot just missed Wyatt’s hear and hit the wall next to him. There is so much more. It was entertaining and I always watch it when i see it on, but as a real western it misses the mark by a lot. At least get a majority of the events right…. But accurate…. No
Hi Deborah! Yes, in many ways the West was quite lawless initially without restraints. Everyone did what they wanted to do, and hoped that they wouldn't get caught if it was against the law.
Interesting history. There was a program on Unearthed season 6 episode 8 called Ghosts of the old west. That program reviews in much detail the gun fight at the O.K. coral. You may want to look it up for your review. Always enjoy western history. Thanks for sharing
I pulled the program up and watched it today. Good analysis of the guns, the shooting stances, etc. You wonder why more were not killed when they were standing so close to each other. This explains some of it.

I had even looked at buying or renting something in Tombstone that's how much I liked it. The people were so nice and it seems that many people who have moved there from out of state all have mainly for the same reasons because they love the history and want to be close to it. Hey Marc, thanks for the feedback! I share your ongoing interest in Tombstone--can't seem to get it out of my system either. The beauty of Tombstone is that much of the city is close to authentic, as compared to Dodge City, KS, etc. My extended family thinks I'm crazy, but what can you do! (lol) I'm a former pastor, and I did this video for my own questions about what normal Tombstone church-goers thought about the OK Corral and seemingly shoot-em-up society that is portrayed in Tombstone. I came to find out there were not that many churches in town in those years, and the violence and the most danger was in 1880-1882. After that time, it was a very normal city. (Actually things settled down when the Earps left town!) I am NOT a Tombstone historian so you do not want me giving any tours to anyone. Most of this video was the fruit of books and internet searches on various topics concerning Tombstone. I had to scramble to find pictures to match what I was learning. Jon Donohue (from my video) gives tours of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and would be happy to discuss with you any other history.
